Full-Stack Developer
I write about engineering leadership, software systems, and how teams build and operate software in the real world.
Most posts are practical — about decision making, tradeoffs, reliability, process, and the sometimes messy realities of building software with real people and real constraints.
By day I work as a full-stack developer building web systems using React, TypeScript, Python, and modern web infrastructure. Over the last 7+ years I’ve worked across startups and product teams, helping ship systems that support real users and evolving business needs.
My Work
SellCord focuses on helping brands operate and scale on Walmart.com. My role here involves leading parts of the frontend development and collaborating with the team to improve the internal tooling used by sellers managing large product catalogs.
One of the features I built was an Item Dimensions editor that allows live updates to product information with real-time synchronization between the frontend and backend. This work required coordinating closely with stakeholders and iterating quickly as new requirements surfaced.
Stack: React, TypeScript, Python, Django, AWS
Adziny was a startup-focused development environment where I spent several years building products from early prototypes to production systems.
During this period I worked on multiple startup products, focusing heavily on React architecture, conversion optimization, and building reusable component systems that helped teams move faster.
Some of the work included designing a conversion analytics tool, building shared component libraries used across multiple products, and helping migrate projects from loosely typed JavaScript to TypeScript-based architectures.
Over time I also started mentoring other engineers and contributing to technical direction around APIs and frontend architecture.
Stack: React, TypeScript, Python, Django, GraphQL, AWS
My early work involved building modular web themes and improving testing practices for product teams.
I helped introduce end-to-end testing frameworks and worked on improving UI flows to reduce user confusion across several product pages.
At Handyland I worked on optimizing and redesigning WordPress-based websites. Performance improvements and web vitals optimization helped improve page load speeds by around 40% across several sites.
Things I Enjoy Working On
• Designing scalable web architectures • Building maintainable React component systems • Improving developer workflows and tooling • Reliability and production system behavior • The intersection of engineering and team process
Projects
Web2PDF — a small Python tool I built to convert web articles into PDF format. It ended up being used by hundreds of people and became a useful experiment in web scraping and document generation.
