FAQ General

1. What products are included in this End-of-Life (EOL)?

The EOL applies to HP Anyware, Trusted Zero Clients, and Trust Center.

2. Why did HP EOL these products?

HP regularly reviews its product portfolio to align with long-term strategy and customer needs. These products are being retired as part of that standard lifecycle process.

3. What are the important dates for this EOL announcement?

4. What level of support continues through EOL?

Maintenance support continues through the EOL date in accordance with existing support terms.  

Maintenance includes:

  • Technical support and guidance related to the existing functionality of the product
  • Addressing critical security patches and bug fixes where feasible
  • Maintaining compatibility with the currently supported operating systems as listed in product documentation
  • No new features and functionality
  • No major operating system (OS) updates:  
    • Compatibility with future operating system releases cannot be guaranteed)
    • Updates to support newly released operating systems may not be provided

5. What happens if my HP Anyware subscription extends past 31 October 2029? 

HP will proactively identify licenses with subscription terms extending beyond 31 October 2029 and issue a prorated refund for the remaining period after the EOL date, in accordance with applicable terms.

Refunds will be issued directly to customers or partners, as applicable. For subscriptions purchased through a partner, refunds will be issued to the partner, and customers should contact their partner for details on their refund policy, if any.

6. Where can I download software updates?  

  • Downloads will continue to be available for all supported products until EOL (31 October, 2029) at https://anyware.hp.com.
  • The existing download CDN (dl.anyware.hp.com) will be moved to downloads-anyware.workforceexperience.hp.com.  dl.anyware.hp.com will be decommissioned on 30 April, 2026.
  • Environments that require allowlisting of external internet domains must allow downloads-anyware.workforceexperience.hp.com to ensure uninterrupted access to downloads.
  • For assistance or help with the new URL, please contact the HP Anyware Support team.  

7. Is HP Remote Graphic Software (RGS) a replacement for HP Anyware?  

HP Remote Graphic Software (RGS)/HP Remote Boost is not part of this EOL announcement. HP RGS is a potential transition option for HP Anyware customers, specifically:    

  • Power user or those with high-performance requirements
  • Accessing racked or desktop workstations  
  • Find more information at hp.com/go/rgs. Below is additional important information.
  • If a broker is required, consider HP partner Leostream.  
  • Suitability depends on individual customer environments and use cases. Existing HP Anyware Pro licenses continue to support the latest versions of HP RGS. Customers should test RGS to confirm suitability.  
  • HP sales and support teams are available to discuss transition considerations and provide product information where applicable.  

Partners for whom HP RGS/Remote Boost is not an appropriate fit should:  

  • Evaluate and select an alternative solution that best meets their business and technical requirements
  • Assess alternatives based on their own requirements and timelines

8. If I do not want to renew HP Anyware, can I buy HP RGS?  

Yes, HP RGS is available. Partners should assess if it is suitable for their use case.  

9. Given the announcement was made on 7 April 2026 about the restriction to one-year renewals before 31 October 2027, can a customer renew once in June 2026 and again in June 2027, allowing for two renewals before the limitation takes effect?  

Yes, customers may renew annually up to 31 October 2027.  

10. If I am using HP Workforce Experience Platform (WXP) Remote Connect and it uses HP Anyware technology. Will that be affected by this EOL announcement?  

No, Remote Connect will continue to be fully supported and is unaffected by this announcement. Remote Connect offers remote support and troubleshooting functionality is integrated into HP WXP.  

11. Who can I contact for support and additional questions?

12. Can existing customers still add additional licenses?  

Yes, existing customers can acquire additional licenses and co-term to existing contracts.

13. What support is available until EOL?  

  • Setup and troubleshooting support only
  • No new updates, patches, or enhancements
  • Last supported version: 25.10

14. How are Trust Center refunds handled?  

HP will proactively identify all active subscriptions extending beyond 31 October 2026 and calculate a prorated refund for the remaining period after the EOL date.  

Refunds will be issued directly to HP customers or partners, as applicable. For customers who purchased through an HP partner, refunds will be issued to the partner and customers should contact their partner for details on the applicable refund policy.  

15. What should customers do with Trusted Zero Client hardware? 

Customers should contact their partner for information on alternative solutions. Trusted Zero Client vendors will have options in place for returns or refunds which differ per Trusted Zero Client vendor.

16. Where can I download software updates?  

  • Downloads will continue to be available for all supported products until EOL (31 October 2029) at https://anyware.hp.com.
    • Trusted Zero Client firmware downloads (25.06) will be available via the Trust Center until 1 May, 2026.
    • Trust Center downloads will be available until 31 October, 2026.
  • The existing download CDN (dl.anyware.hp.com) will be moved to downloads-anyware.workforceexperience.hp.com.  dl.anyware.hp.com will be decommissioned on 30 April, 2026.

18. Can I continue to use my Trusted Zero Clients and Trust Center after 31 October 2026?  

Yes. Trusted Zero Clients contain a perpetual license of the Trusted Zero Client software on the device and will continue to work, but only with the last supported version 25.10. The Trust Center will also continue to work. Version 25.10 of the Trust Center does not have a license expiration date. You can continue to use this version, but please note that support will end on 31 October 2026, and no updates or support will be available after that date.  

 

19. What if the Trusted Zero Client and Trust Center I use today is an older version, and I expect that I will need to use these devices after 31 October 2026.

HP recommends updating your Trust Center before 1 May 2026, to version 25.10, as well as updating your devices to 25.10 prior to 1 May 2026.
