Investment documents for tax self-assessment purposes Monzo Chat Up to the middle of 2025, Monzo investment statements showed detailed transactions.

Since the change in investment provider from FNZ to Seccl in September 2025 I can only get “Valuation statements”, which only show start value, end value, summaries, and averages.

My accountant says they need the transactions in order to work out the gains due to deposits and withdrawals, which sounds correct.

Has anyone else come across this problem? I’m stuck between accountants needing documents and Monzo no longer supplying them?

Changing wallpaper doesn't change on Trends Tab Bug Reports Issue: Changing wallpaper doesn’t change in trends

Details to reproduce: Change your wallpaper from your current one to another one. Main and [plan] tab will go to your new wallpaper, but the trends page won’t change.
OS: NothingOS 4.0 running on Android 16
Device: Nothing Phone 2a
App Version: 7.23.0 #7230052 - I am in the beta, but I had this issue before joining the beta, and the beta hasn’t fixed it.

I’d also like to add that there is a split second when I enter the [plan] tab where it shows the blue background before it switches to the light blue background.

I have done the uninstall, restart, and re-install so we can rule that out.

Target shows previous month when opened Bug Reports Issue: Target shows previous month. This has been going on for months. Sometimes it fixes itself for a while but then goes back to showing previous month. Doesn’t matter if I open the Target screen from the Trends tab or via the spotlights at the top of the home screen.

Details to reproduce: Open app, go to Trends, then Target. Alternatively, open the Target screen from spotlights shortcut on the home screen.
OS: iOS 26.4.1

Prepay card recommendations and help Financial Chat Hi, wondering if anyone with older relatives can offer any advice.

My dad is 87 and has Alzheimer’s. This has got to the stage where he’s had a mental capacity assessment and found to lack capacity to make his own financial decisions. We’ve obviously closed his credit card accounts, but even though he has no overdraft facilities on his current accounts his bank have said the law requires them to withdraw his access to fumds (cancelled his debit cards and cheque book). I have power of attorney so can manage his accounts and bills.

However he lives 60 miles from me with no local family. He has a shopper who takes him out once a week.

Does anyone know if I can open a prepaid card account for him even though he lacks mental capacity. I suspect the answer is no but asking anyway if anyone can point me at any info on this.

He’s understandably embarrassed at his shopper having to pay for his shopping using her card and us reimbursing her.

It would give him a bit of dignity back if we could give him a prepaid card.

Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

Edit - a card in my name is not suitable, it has to be in his name. As his attorney i need it to be clear that it’s his money and his account and I’m not siphoning off his money.

Extending Monzo distribution and payment handling Feedback & Ideas Hi,

I, like a number of others, run GrapheneOS on my Google Pixel device. I know a number run Calyx too. Whilst I can install Monzo via a sandboxed Play Store, it would be extremely useful to publish to either your official website, GitHub or F-Droid.

With Google encroaching more and more on our security and privacy, having an alternate source for the Monzo APK would be a good move. Couple that with removing the warning on launch - for GrapheneOS and Calyx exclusively. Play Store isn’t a guarantee of safety by a long shot, you can get malware from the store - it’s no Apple App Store and it never will be. Installation from an official GitHub APK release would be a lot safer as it is verifiably from you.

Another good idea would be follow in the footsteps of Curve and PayPal by offering NFC payments (branded as Monzo Pay perhaps?), it would make a lot of us feel safer and not worry what Google will do with payment data. I know I would trust and use Monzo as my payment provider over Google Pay any day.

Any others here who would prefer availability from an official website, GitHub or F-Droid? How about the idea of Monzo Pay - would you use this service over Google Pay (whether on GrapheneOS, Calyx, AOSP, or regular Android)? Let’s show Monzo they should provide such services. Maybe with enough “votes" they might implement these! Comment “+1” plus whatever else you want to say so we can make a show of support.

Expose Pot Transaction Data via Public API (Parity with Main Account Transactions) Developers Obligatory: Written with the help of AI

Summary
The current API exposes pot metadata and balance operations, but not the underlying transaction data that drives balance changes. This creates a structural gap for any integration that relies on reconciliation, auditability, or accurate financial modelling.


Problem Statement
At present:

  • /pots → returns pot metadata and balances

  • /transactions → returns transactions for the main account only

There is no way to retrieve transaction-level data for pots, including:

  • Transfers into/out of pots (beyond partial visibility via main account)

  • Spending from pots via virtual cards

  • Internal pot activity affecting balances

This results in:

  • Inability to reconcile pot balances deterministically

  • Missing data for virtual card spending (pot-backed)

  • Broken accounting/budgeting workflows for API consumers


Observed Behaviour (Reproducible)

  1. Create or use an existing pot

  2. Fund it via transfer or spend via a virtual card linked to that pot

  3. Query:

    • /pots → balance reflects change

    • /transactions → does not include corresponding pot-level transaction (especially for virtual card spend)

There is no API path to derive a complete ledger for the pot.


Expected Behaviour
API consumers should be able to retrieve a complete, ordered transaction history per pot, equivalent in fidelity to /transactions for the main account.


Proposed Solution

Option A — Dedicated Endpoint

GET /pots/{pot_id}/transactions

Returns:

  • id

  • created

  • amount

  • description

  • category

  • metadata

  • counterparty (if applicable)

  • source (e.g. transfer, card_payment, interest)

Supports:

  • pagination (before, since, limit)

  • filtering (optional, consistent with /transactions)


Option B — Extend Existing Transactions Endpoint

Allow:

GET /transactions?pot_id={pot_id}

or include:

  • pot_id field in transaction objects where applicable

Key Requirements

  • Read-only access is sufficient (no write operations required)

  • Consistent schema with existing /transactions endpoint

  • Inclusion of virtual card transactions linked to pots

  • Webhook parity (optional but highly valuable)


Use Cases

  • Accurate budgeting and financial planning tools

  • Ledger reconciliation for personal finance systems

  • Automation workflows (e.g. categorisation, reporting)

  • Auditing and historical analysis of pot usage


Why This Matters
Currently, pot balances are non-reconcilable via API, which limits the API’s usefulness for anything beyond basic balance checks. This is a significant constraint given the increasing use of pots and pot-linked virtual cards as primary spending mechanisms.

Providing transaction-level access would:

  • Align pots with the rest of the API surface

  • Eliminate the need for brittle workarounds

  • Unlock higher-quality integrations without increasing write-scope risk


Notes

  • Historical community discussions indicate strong and persistent demand for this capability

  • Some previously observed internal fields (e.g. pot_account_id) suggest the underlying data model already exists


Request
Is this capability on the roadmap, or are there architectural constraints preventing exposure? Even partial support (e.g. read-only, limited history) would significantly improve API usability.

Plus Card cancellation UK I cancelled my £5/mo Monzo Plus addon today and Monzo insist on reissuing me with a new card.

I view this as rather petty, quite wasteful and very inconvenient. Disappointing since I’ve been a Monzo user and investor since beta.

Monzo continue to steal money out of my account!! UK I went on holiday to Colombia in Dec and paid for a hostel, but the card payment didn’t go through twice so I ended up paying in cash. I’m still being plagued with issues from Monzo and it’s becoming extremely painful having to deal with this bug and customer service!!!
I requested a refund as the payments both went through, meaning I paid 3 times for the hostel. Both transactions were refunded by Monzo and then I was refunded once by the hostel, which meant only one of the Monzo transactions actually needed refunding in the end as I got my money back from the Hostel. However Monzon continues to take both payments, after raising with customer service this was eventually resolved, and compensation was awarded as it was proven Monzo incorrectly took the additional payment (over £100) out of my bank account. This was in Feb 2026, however I woke up at the weekend and again the payment of ver £100 is taken out of my bank account for no reason, and here again I am having to battle to get it back where there is clearly an error with the system. A poorly built functionality with extremely bad customer service is making this banking experience one of the worst I have had and will be moving banks when this is resolved. I used to love Monzo, what happened to it!! its so bad now, worst that the old banks and thats saying something

Goals without being attached to a pot Feedback & Ideas This may have already been suggested but it would be really useful to have a section for goals that isn’t attached to a pot so the goal is shown front and center. This is useful for tracking paying back things where the money doesn’t stay with you like paying back friends for bigger sums over time. I currently use empty pots to achieve this same effect however it would awesome to not have to click into them to see what’s up.

A feature like this I’d likely also use to update and track how I use my Help To Save account though having that as it’s own bank account would be awesome, I’m unsure how viable a request like that would be.

Steam Market card verification doesn't work with Monzo Bug Reports Issue:
I added money via Monzo to my Steam Wallet in order to make a purchase on the Steam marketplace, Steam wants me to verify my card in order to use that money on the Steam Market, they have a page which requires / allows you to request the card verification process but it fails every time, the App doesn’t show the declined payment tests at all, the web version does.

It makes it so I put money into my Steam account, but because I can’t verify I effectively can’t use it.

Flex is bonkers - there’s one amount in the feed, and a different amount when I press “help” Bug Reports Issue: I flexed a transaction when it was still pending (£53.21). It settled a few days later, but for £48.68, which is the correct amount.

My feed still shows £53.21, so I pressed the “Something wrong, Get help” which in one respect was pointless because none of the options were relevant, and so no help was available.

But.

At the top of that page the amount is showing as £48.68.

So I have a Schrödinger transaction which changes depending on which page I’m looking at, the wrong amount has been returned to my personal account, and I don’t actually have any idea how much will be flexed

Default to Lowest Interest Payment for Flex Feedback & Ideas Hi Team,

I know that with Flex payments, I can choose to default to pay the full amount, but it would be nice if I could choose to pay the lowest (interest-free) payment schedule.

This option would reduce app usage time (screen time), get fewer notifications, and, most importantly, stop me from worrying about missing a selection and having to pay interest.

Salary Sort / Scheduled Payments Help Looking for some help from some of you lovely lot

I sent some money to my Monzo account yesterday (over £500) and it popped up saying about “Salary Sort” (I think, it was a ‘Sort’ of some description) which I was surprised about because I don’t (yet) have my salary paid in.

Now, I’ve spent the last 15 minutes today working out how to sort things again as it disappeared! You have to go into that specific payment again!

From what I see, I can sort larger payments (not just salary!) which is great, but I already set up Scheduled Payments individually (which is annoying as this would’ve done it automatically!)

You can even sort into joint pots! Which is great. BUT: because I’ve already set Scheduled Payments I thought I’d carry on that way.

DILEMMA: I have a JOINT pot. I want to set a scheduled payment to it from my PERSONAL account. For the life of me I can’t find where to do it. I can set it up from a JOINT account but if I click PERSONAL I don’t get the option to schedule it!

Given you can set up the SORTER to sort payment into the JOINT pot, this has surely got to be a bug rather than a feature request? Why/how on Earth has this been missed?

Or is it ‘me’ and I’m doing it/understanding it incorrectly?

Basically:
In GROW >> SAVINGS >> SAVINGS POTS you can set a GOAL.
It does not provide any indication that my goal is achievable.
I am requesting a feature enhancement to show me that I am “on track” or what I need to do to get back “on track” to achieve my goal.

Example:

My goal is set.

This is what it looks like:

What is the point in asking “Achieve by”?
How do I know I’ve set the right goal?

I’ve also set Roundups:

So this will affect when my goal as I go along, will likely be achieved.

Misleading loan amount left to pay Feedback & Ideas Monzo personal loans accrue interest daily and allow extra repayments and full early repayment without penalty. I have confirmed with the AI assistant that this does reduce the total amount of interest to pay on the loan.

However, when you look at your loan within the app, it shows the amount left to pay as the loan amount plus the total indicative amount of interest that would be paid if you stick to the payment schedule. It should instead show the current loan balance (i.e. settlement amount).

It’s very misleading to show the amount left to pay including interest that is not yet accrued. I strongly suggest that instead it should just show the current loan balance.

When I first saw this in my app I thought the loan had been mis-sold to me and I almost cancelled it!

Integrating a Morse Code Website with Monzo Payment Links and Transaction Flow Developers I run a Morse Code translator website that allows users to convert text to Morse code and decode Morse back into readable text, with features like real-time translation, audio playback, and shareable outputs. I’m currently exploring the idea of adding a simple monetization layer using Monzo, such as allowing users to unlock additional features or support the site via payment links. However, since my platform is primarily a frontend JavaScript application, I’m unsure how well it can integrate with Monzo’s payment flow.

One of the main challenges is how to securely connect user actions on my website with a Monzo payment. For example, I’d like a user to click a “unlock premium features” button, complete a payment via a Monzo .me link, and then immediately gain access to additional functionality. Since Monzo payment links typically operate outside of the website environment, I’m not sure how to reliably detect when a payment has been completed and tie that back to the correct user session.

Another issue is the lack of a traditional backend or user account system on my site. The Morse Code translator is currently stateless, meaning users don’t log in or have persistent accounts. This makes it difficult to store payment status or manage feature access over time. I’m considering adding a lightweight backend or temporary token system, but I’m unsure what the best approach would be for a simple tool that’s meant to remain fast and accessible.

I’m looking for suggestions on how to handle this transition smoothly without confusing users or requiring manual refreshes.

I’m also curious about whether Monzo provides any form of webhook, API, or notification system that could be used to confirm payments programmatically. If such features exist, I’d like to understand how they could be integrated into a small web project like mine. If not, I may need to rely on alternative methods, which raises questions about reliability and security.

Finally, I’d really appreciate input from the Monzo community or developers who have tried to integrate Monzo payment links into custom web tools. For a lightweight, interactive site like a Morse Code translator, what’s the recommended way to handle payments and feature unlocking? Should I introduce a backend service for verification, or are there simpler patterns that still provide a smooth and secure user experience? Sorry for long post!

Connected accounts - pending transactions - notes and shared tabs Feedback & Ideas Please allow me to interact more with transactions from connected accounts from other banks.

I’d like to be able to add notes and add them to shared tabs immediately. If I can’t do this immediately and need to sometimes wait a week (usually a couple of days) - I will forget what it is, forget to do it, forget show much each person owes from it, forget who was there, etc.

Without this I’m having to use an external provider for shared tabs or add them manually….which defeats the purpose of paying for a premium Monzo account that adds shared tabs!

I understand these may disappear or the amount may change but there are ways of handling this programmatically.
