Dynes of all walks of life, shape and color are organizing in various forms to deliver the initial promises of internet: diversity, better communication, less middle-hands. Where the corporations are destroying their interoperability, musicians are repurposing RSS, Vloggers are appropriating the channels for their patrons, writers are self-hosting their blogs, communities are gathering in their own corner of the galaxy.

🙃 Radical happiness

In a solar-system full of gloom and cynicism, the happy is a rebel. In the void of space, sources of happiness can seem scarce to the untrained soul. But a dyne can count blessings. Food, shelter, drinking water, friendship, WiFi… Scale is a matter of perspective. It's especially true in terms of happiness. Your mental well-being is important. First and foremost to you. But also important for the grand scheme of the universe. The balance of the galaxy needs happiness. And that could be coming from you, or your neighbor. Most likely you AND your neighbor. Take a trip in inner-space, contemplate the sum of all the small beauty around you and allow yourself to channel happiness, fellow dyne!

The season changes, hotter or cooler, depending on where you are. But the warmth in dynes' heart goes up up up! It is a time to contemplate what has happened during this round around the sun, the dynes we love and the projects that have carried us on their shoulders. And so dynes gift!

Every dyne knows that time is more precious than money. The time it takes Dyne.org to raise money could be spent on more important things. Like hacking the planet to empower artists, creatives and citizens in the digital age. Or bring forth the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate the 21st century in sovereignty.

40 years ago, Richard Stallman announced a Free Unix, that was to be named "GNU" which stands for "GNU Not Unix". The golden rule required that, if a dyne likes a program, the dyne must share it with other dynes who like it. No dyne can in good conscience sign a nondisclosure agreement or a software license agreement and thus be restricted from letting everyone benefit from the goodness.

🪪 A trip to the moon

Over 120 years have elapsed (1902) since George Méliès first took audiences on a journey to the moon in his groundbreaking film "Le Voyage dans la Lune," which also happens to be the very first science fiction film ever screened. Fully available 🍿 here 📽️ 10min worth it!

The plot has a lot of analogies to how the working group of the The European Digital Identity Wallet is acting: Reluctant scientists say dynes can't go to the moon. When finally some pioneers are able to get there, they are sent. But once arrived they kill all the Selenites, just like the rights of European citizens to have their identity preserved are being slayed.
