Code of Conduct

Our Commitment

We are committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful community for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

Our Standards

Examples of behavior that contributes to creating a positive environment include:

  • Being respectful - Treat all community members with kindness and respect
  • Being inclusive - Welcome diverse perspectives and backgrounds
  • Being constructive - Provide helpful, thoughtful feedback
  • Being patient - Understand that learning takes time
  • Being professional - Keep communications focused and on-topic
  • Listening actively - Seek to understand before being understood
  • Giving credit - Acknowledge others' contributions and ideas

Examples of unacceptable behavior include:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or bullying of any kind
  • Offensive comments related to personal characteristics
  • Unwelcome sexual attention or advances
  • Threats of violence or violent language
  • Deliberate intimidation or stalking
  • Publishing others' private information without consent
  • Other conduct considered inappropriate in a professional setting
  • Spam, advertising, or self-promotion without relevance

Enforcement

Community leaders are responsible for clarifying and enforcing this Code of Conduct. All violations will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly.

Reporting

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct:

  1. Do not engage directly - Avoid escalating the situation
  2. Document the incident - Note what happened, when, and who was involved
  3. Report privately - Contact maintainers via:
    • Direct message to a maintainer
    • Email to project maintainers (if provided)
    • Report through GitHub if available

All reports are treated confidentially and seriously.

Consequences

Violations may result in:

  • Warning - For minor first-time violations
  • Temporary muting - Preventing participation in discussions
  • Removal - From the community, project, or organization

The severity of consequences depends on the nature and context of the violation.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to:

  • All project spaces (GitHub, Discussions, Issues)
  • Project-related spaces and events
  • Official communications on behalf of the project
