Founded in 2005, EmuMovies is, hands-down, the best resource for video snaps. No other emulation resource comes even remotely close to the level of completeness of this data. EmuMovies is also one of the best resources for gameplay snaps, title snaps, manuals, box covers (2D and 3D), box back covers, box spines, wheels/logos, and music collections.
The only thing EmuMovies doesn't have, in terms of data scraping, is textual data. But, I could realistically use EmuMovies for 99% of my JPEG, PNG, PDF, MP3, and MP4 needs. (I also haven't used the API yet, so they could even have a good amount of textual data in that part of the site.)
So, I have to say that I'm rather shocked that this important resource isn't listed as a scraper. What do we need to get started?
Did muldjord get anywhere with the API? It's worth noting that even basic members get access to the API, and donating members get access to the FTP, which could also be accessed by Skyscraper. Circo and team also recently improved the API a few years ago, so this might be more accessible than when muldjord previously asked.
