This License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you ("User") and Johnathan Carpenter ("Licensor") regarding the use of VisionSplit ("Software"). By downloading, installing, or using the Software, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.

1. Grant of License

Licensor grants User a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Software free of charge for personal and non-commercial purposes.

Use of the Software for business, professional, or revenue-generating activities requires prior written permission from the Licensor.

2. Restrictions

User shall not:

  • Modify, alter, or create derivative works based on the Software
  • Distribute, sublicense, or share the Software without permission
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
  • Use the Software for commercial purposes without explicit permission
  • Sell, rent, lease, or otherwise commercially exploit the Software

3. Ownership

Licensor retains all ownership, rights, title, and interest in and to the Software, including all copyrights and intellectual property rights.

This Agreement does not transfer any ownership rights to the User.

4. Third-Party Components

VisionSplit utilizes third-party software components including FFmpeg.

These components are governed by their respective licenses. Users are responsible for complying with the terms of those licenses where applicable.

5. No Warranty

The Software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

Licensor disclaims all warranties including, but not limited to:

  • Merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement

User assumes all risks related to use of the Software.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Licensor shall not be liable for any damages arising from use or inability to use the Software, including but not limited to:

  • Direct
  • Indirect
  • Incidental
  • Consequential
  • Special or punitive damages

7. Termination

This Agreement remains in effect until terminated.

The license will automatically terminate if User violates any provision of this Agreement.

Licensor reserves the right to revoke access to the Software at any time without notice.

8. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Canada and the Province of Ontario, without regard to conflict of law principles.
