Hello everyone, Daniel here with an exciting update for the upcoming reitti v4.0 release! 🎉

We're making significant progress, and I'm currently focused on testing the Beta 3 release of v4.0. The plan is to merge these substantial changes into the main branch very soon. This release has been the culmination of several weeks of dedicated development, and I genuinely believe the improvements will be very well received.

Current Status & Next Steps

We're almost there! There's just one key area remaining for testing:

• The preview function for visit sensitivity still requires thorough validation.

Once this final testing round is complete, and assuming no critical issues are identified, I will merge these updates into the main branch. This will then transition v4.0 into our develop line for comprehensive testing. Following that, my next priority will be to update the documentation with all the new information and create a detailed migration plan for users upgrading from v3.

Streamlined docker-compose.yml & Infrastructure

For those looking to upgrade, you'll be pleased to hear that we've made some notable simplifications to the docker-compose.yml. We've eliminated the direct need for Photon and RabbitMQ in the default configuration. This means a leaner setup for many users!

Important Note: Photon support remains available if your specific setup requires it.

Introducing Free Community Services! 🌍

I'm particularly thrilled to announce two new, completely free services developed and hosted by reitti for our community:

• Our Own Reverse Geocoding Server: I'm proud to introduce Paikka, our very own reverse geocoding server! This new server is available for universal use, offering a robust and self-hosted solution for reverse geocoding within reitti. You can explore its development and run your own instance at https://github.com/dedicatedcode/paikka.
• Our Own Tile Server: To further enhance reitti's independence and performance, we are now hosting our own map tile server, based on the excellent work at https://openfreemap.org/. This instance is also freely available to all users.

These new services aim to provide a more integrated and reliable experience for everyone using reitti.
