Hi, I’m running into an issue with NirnLab UI on a Keizaal RP setup and wanted to provide a thorough breakdown of what I’ve already tested.
Error:
“incompatible DLL” for NirnLabUIPlatform
Environment:
Skyrim SE runtime: 1.6.1170
SKSE: matching version for 1.6.1170
CPU: i5-10500
OS: Windows 11 25H2 (build 26200.8117)
What I’ve already verified:
Clean install via the Keizaal launcher (same files working for other users)
Manual reinstall of NirnLab UI + dependencies (matching 1.6.1170)
Correct Address Library version installed
Skyrim executable version confirmed (not mismatched)
SKSE version confirmed correct
What I’ve tried:
Removing and reinstalling NirnLabUIPlatform.dll
Checking for missing dependencies using Process Monitor (no obvious missing DLLs)
Reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables (x86 + x64, 2015–2022)
Ensuring DLLs are unblocked in Windows
Minimizing background processes / clean startup environment
What’s been ruled out
Version mismatch (game, SKSE, and mods all aligned to 1.6.1170)
Corrupt or missing mod files
Hardware/CPU incompatibility
Common overlay or injection conflicts
Key detail:
This exact setup works for other users on the same server (same modpack/launcher). I appear to be the only one affected. out of 700 players
The only major difference in my environment is:
I’m running Windows 11 25H2 (build 26200.8117), which is ahead of standard public releases.
Question
Is NirnLab UI (specifically NirnLabUIPlatform.dll) dependent on any Windows runtime behavior or specific SDK assumptions that could break on newer Windows builds?
I sometimes get an error 'get_exit_code' entry point error suggests a possible mismatch at the API/runtime level rather than a typical SKSE/plugin version issue.
How do I address this issue further as ive exhausted my ability to problem solve and the dev for the Keizaal server has been no help whatsoever and his solution is "reinstall windows"
