I've noticed that the project is becoming more and more unmaintained, having what seems like a single "active" maintainer @ytmimi whose last public activity was back in August 2025, while more and more pull requests and issues are piling up.

There are currently:

• 200+ open pull requests
• 600+ open issues
• No public maintenance activity for ~2 months

Not to mention that the last commit on the master branch has been back in June 2025.
I don't know how such a critical component of rustlang is so massively undermaintained, but something needs to be done about it.
