Description
Research Interests
I am a pharmacologist turned research software engineer, with a strong interest in disentangling causal relationships in molecular biology. I am deeply convinced that open science is essential in the era of big data. My work bridges applied sciences, such as pharmacology and machine learning, with descriptive disciplines like philosophy and sociology of science.
My primary focus is evaluating and enhancing the methodologies used in translational biomedical research to improve the scientific process. I achieve this through analytical studies of both individual researchers' practices and machine learning algorithms, translating these insights into innovative software solutions. I place a high value on open-source practices, recognizing that creating truly useful software demands a level of maintenance and accessibility far beyond what is typically seen in academic settings.
