Hi, I’m Benjamin — a self-taught developer and the maintainer of Handheld Companion.

My coding journey started in the open-source World of Warcraft community: building database tools, fixing issues, and helping teams and communities run better.

Years later, I picked up my first GPD Win, and it sparked the same kind of curiosity. Handheld PCs are amazing—but they’re also quirky: different devices, different controls, different power behavior, and a constant need for quick, reliable tweaks while you’re in-game. That’s where Handheld Companion began.

Handheld Companion is a touch-optimized Windows app designed to make handheld gaming PCs feel more cohesive and controller-first.

When I’m not coding, I’m usually around my animals (a pony, a donkey, two greyhounds, and a cat)—and then I’m back to shipping fixes.
