Recently I have experienced that vmware perform better than virtualbox so currently I am using vmware.

Step 1:
Download "VMware Workstation Player" for your PC or Linux host. If you are using a mac as user download VMware Fusion Download: VMware Workstation Playerhttps://www.vmware.com/products/workstation-player.html

Step 2: Download Ubuntu from https://ubuntu.com/download Step 3: Create a Virtual machine and install ubuntu. It's very straightforward in VMware.
