Describe the bug
A clear and concise description of what the bug is.
When attempting to save a new Slack adaptive response, the error message for "Channel cannot be empty" populated when the channel prompt is not empty. I've attempted creating new alerts over the course of several days and have been met with this error every time.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Open an alert/detection to add the response to
- At the bottom, select a Slack adaptive response
- Full out related field prompts, and save
- See error
Expected behavior
I would expect this change to save without error, assuming all field prompts are filled in properly. Have not had an error previously. Recently updated to ES 8 and also on the latest version of the app (2.3.2).
Screenshots

Splunk Environment:
- Splunk Version: 9.3.2411.107
- Cloud: Yes
Additional context
I was on a call with Splunk Support troubleshooting this, and they were able to replicate the issue. They also noted that they were NOT seeing the same issue with a different Splunkbase app https://splunkbase.splunk.com/app/5735 if that's helpful.
