Focal differences while making time for introspection.
A moment to ponder, time to introspect.
It's pretty clear to me at this point everybody is after an "AI Operating System" as the hipster folks are calling it. But if we're gonna use honest words people are seeking an easy to use orchestration tier that brings together all of their AI tooling and services to their current non-AI tooling and functions they work on. Some of the big companies are best positioned to work on this, especially like Microsoft for example, however they're also the worst positioned to do anything about it because of the proverbial "Innovator's Dilemma". Watching all this play out, but also being intimately involved in it all is a blast, I've not felt this curious and motivated in a long long time (I'm thinking circa 07-09 when the distributed systems things started at inception - ya know, that eventually became everything from Riak to Apache Cassandra to Kubernetes and so on). This however, is so much more massively transformational (and prospectively destructive) that it's extremely hard to describe without using extreme comparisons. Have you been pondering such things? Where are you at on these things?
Alright Starbucks. Enough with the labels on everything.. it’s tacky af. If I get a “for here” item I don’t want a label stuck to it. If I bring my own cup don’t stick a label on it. Sort out your workflow without sticking shit on what I’ve gotta pick up. 😑
Welcome aboard new users! Reply a hello if you would! 👋🏻
Test ops are important, but how are you exchanging context between your AI enabled tooling?
How are you - ya know, if you are - managing the death and life of your agents? How do you manage or handle their memory? Can you detach them from their memory for other use? Asking for a friend. 😁
I like, so far, how posting to other social media are shown. I've got Blue Sky and Bastodon here. Albeit I feel like they both need colored accordingly or just gray. What do you think? Then there is the countdown and the "scheduled" tag that then flips to green and shows "posted" for a few seconds as it posts. The countdown mind you is an actual countdown too!
Another one is Peaky Blinders. Do I need to elaborate even? Everybody knows about this one right? The clothes, the settings, the time, the era, the way it is shown and the actors in this series are wicked hot in real people kind of ways. Cillian Murphy, Paul Anderson, and Sophie Rundle along with the whole cast are just absolute top bar. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2442560/

Just a few shows that I've enjoyed over the last bunch of years. The Wonderful Mrs Maisel. Have y'all seen this? The way they put it together. The time period and the way they pulled together the clothes and the cars, planes, and other sundry. Really well done series and also, wickedly smart and hilarious. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5788792/

Software architecture isn’t disappearing because of AI. It’s mutating. The work used to be diagrams, frameworks, and gatekeeping design decisions. Now AI can generate scaffolding in minutes. The real job is shifting toward shaping the thinking process behind what gets generated. Architects aren’t just designing systems anymore — we’re designing how humans and AI collaborate to build them. Read more: https://compositecode.blog/2025/11/04/architects-evolving-with-ai/
It's amazing how quickly high value individuals disqualify themselves from relationships. After a certain age the tolerance for "maybe this would work" or "they seem interesting" turns into "they aren't involved in nor associated to 99% of what I have going on in life - disqualified". This also explains so much of modern society. Especially so many of the broken parts of modern society. It definitely explains the loneliness of people and the massive business that has formed up to toxify the situation and leech money off of lonely people. It is truly one of the modern cons.
Finally trying out the Goodvine Coffee & Bar. https://www.goldvinecoffee.com/

People are asking for some weird stuff in job reqs these days. It's almost like we're in the super early stages of Generative AI being adopted in more places and the vast majority of "job reqs" are clueless. Waiting for the "must have 20 years experience with Gen AI Copilot Cursor [fill in blank thing that hasn't existed even a small % of time as the request]."
I've written down some thoughts (on a prediction) around Generative AI and the increased security vector risks it poses. Not so much that it, in itself, is a security risk specifically (it is) but how it is amplifying our existing bad practices. https://compositecode.blog/2026/03/09/security-was-already-a-mess-generative-ai-is-about-to-prove-it/
