Ironsides

the open legal operating system for start-up companies

Ironsides is a set of modern form legal documents for forming Bay Area style start-up technology companies. You can download the most recent release of Ironsides from GitHub, as well as review, comment, and suggest edits on Google Drive. Ironsides is fast approaching its first public release.

Ironsides is “open” as in “open collaboration”. Discussion, revision, and decisionmaking happen online, and anyone is welcome to take part. Ironsides belongs to the start-up community, and always will.

Ironsides is also “open” meaning "free to use, change, and share with others". Copyright in Ironsides documents and all related project files are dedicated to the public domain using the Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal Public Domain Dedication.

Company formation documents are prescription-strength legal devices. If you need to form a company, don’t be an idiot. Hire a lawyer. A good lawyer will know whether Ironsides fits your need.
