The DESILO FHE Library v1.8.0 is now live, bringing a major speed-up in encrypted matrix computation. Highlights in this release: 📍GL (Gentry–Lee) scheme support for matrix-friendly operations and up to 80× faster encrypted matrix multiplication 📍Faster lossy/sign bootstrapping for real-number data These improvements make it easier to run matrix-heavy ML inference with homomorphic encryption from start to finish with a significantly improved performance. We’re also opening a community Discord channel for developers and researchers working on FHE, encrypted ML inference, and secure computation pipelines. On November 27th, I was honoured to be invited to give a seminar at the prestigious Collège de France 🎓, as part of the lecture series “Le calcul sécurisé : calculer sur des données chiffrées ou privées” (“Secure computation: computing on encrypted or private data”), organised by Xavier Leroy! Even remotely from Seoul (thank you technology 😁), it was a pleasure to present an overview of Fully Homomorphic Encryption and TFHE bootstrapping 🔐. During October, I had the privilege of presenting our DESILO FHE library (#DESILO) at two inspiring events: - Cryptography at Work for Blockchain, Paris 🇫🇷 - FHE Forum at CNCC 2025, Harbin 🇨🇳 During the presentations, I showcased how easy is to implement FHE applications by using the DESILO FHE library, with a particular focus on Machine Learning applications and its native CUDA GPU support 🧠 A heartfelt thank you to the organisers of both events for the invitations and to all participants for the insightful discussions and valuable exchanges. How can encrypted AI run efficiently without compromising privacy? Our team’s latest research takes an important step toward answering that question. We’re excited to announce that our paper on Gentry-Lee Scheme, a new computation engine that significantly accelerates homomorphic encryption operations, is now available on IACR ePrint, by Gentry and Lee. The matrix multiplication is one of the most important and time-consuming tasks in most AI tasks. Gentry-Lee Scheme introduces an optimized architecture for various-scale matrix operations, bridging the long-standing gap between theoretical FHE schemes and real-world deployment. It accelerates encrypted matrix multiplication about x80 times, and its efficiency shines for larger matrices. It achieves major efficiency improvements in encrypted computation and lays the foundation for DESILO’s encrypted AI stack that powers secure analytics and privacy-preserving intelligence. This research was authored by Craig Gentry and Yongwoo Lee, developed as part of the DESILO Inc.–Cornami, Inc. collaboration to bring scalable FHE into practice.
