I am pleased to share that Greenpixie has extended Cloud Sustainability metrics coverage to include #AI #LLMs Co2, Water and Electricity. Our customers and partners are seeing the costs and emissions from #AI ramping up. Token usage doubling month on month seems to be the norm. As the FinOps Foundation Flexera Apptio, an IBM Company and others are highlighting the need for #FinOpsforAI , #GreenOpsforAI is equally important to customers. The existing open-source benchmarking and calculators didn’t cover 90% of how enterprises actually buy & use AI, so they came to #Greenpixie. After reviewing everything on the market, we came to a simple conclusion. If we wanted to solve this properly in a way that would actually be useful for enterprises looking to govern and de-risk AI adoption, we had to build it. We have worked closely with an excellent working group of customers, partners, and industry experts since September 2025. #FinOps is often focused on the 30% wasted spend of Cloud usage. As #AI ramps up there is a great opportunity to #ShiftLeft and install #SustainabilityByDesign As Engineering teams and application architects make decisions on which #LLM model to use, how to use, and where to use it, there is a great opportunity to control costs and emissions. What looks like a choice now may set as concrete once a decision is made. So best to make informed decisions that can have a dramatic impact on both cost and sustainability outcomes. Double wins as @Gartner talks about Built to enable smarter decision-making as AI scales in enterprise organisations. We’re launching two free ways to get started: → Try the AI impact calculator - we have dug down deeper than any other ai sustainability calculator to understand the impact of your ai decisions. → Take our GreenOps for AI course - we have continued to invest in providing IT sustainability training to drive effective decarbonisation within enterprises.
