What does Earth Day look like beyond awareness? At Penn Hills Charter School of Entrepreneurship, it looks like applying sustainability in real, measurable ways—transforming food waste into energy, growing food locally, and integrating these systems into student learning. 📍 April 22 | 6:30–8:30 PM | Pittsburgh, PA For those interested in sustainability, education, and community impact, this is a strong example of all three coming together. 🎟️ Register: https://luma.com/5nmiddqu

We unlock resources to build circular economies through a barter system incentivizing ecological & social good.
نبذة عنا
involveMINT addresses a critical challenge: traditional financial systems often fail to support sustainable, socially-driven businesses and nonprofits. These organizations struggle to access the capital and coordination needed to scale their impact and adopt circular economy practices vital for building resilient communities and healthy ecosystems. involveMINT expands a community barter network, where businesses and nonprofits individuals earn tradable credits by converting waste into valuable resources such as compost, recycled vegetable oil, and reusable textiles. These credits, earned through verified social and environmental actions, can be exchanged for goods, services, or cash from network members and corporate partners, providing flexible capital outside traditional financial barriers.

So grateful for Rachel Weng and the entire Develop for Good team's work on involveMINT! 🙌 Rachel's wallet and guided chat integration is going to make it so much easier for our member businesses to go from browsing to transacting — exactly the kind of seamless experience that gets more exchanges flowing through the network. Congrats on the new role at The TJX Companies, Inc., Rachel — they're lucky to have you! 🎉 Our volunteer dev team is hard at work bringing these designs to life, and we can't wait to reveal the results later in 2026 🚀 Want to help build technology that creates new exchanges between local businesses — ones that wouldn't have existed otherwise? 💡 Reach out: [email protected]
Six months ago I started at involveMINT as a product designer to improve their B2B bartering platform. I improved and integrated the wallet with guided chat to increase transaction conversions, improving usability scores and helping me grow as a designer. I’m thankful to my teammates: Lucia Feng, Zeshan Rehan, Sarah Roman, Angela D. Williams, Iris (Xinwei) Chen, and Christy Long, and I’m proud of what we built together. Thank you to Develop for Good and the mentors from Bloomberg, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and UserTesting for their guidance and feedback along the way. For the next chapter, I’m excited to join The TJX Companies, Inc. as a Business Analyst Product Developer! I want to thank my recruiter Sai Kumar and everyone who supported me through this process. I’m looking forward to learning new skills, working on projects, and making an impact.

Huge thanks to Sarah Roman and the whole Develop for Good team for their incredible work! 🙌 Sarah Roman worked tirelessly on everything from time coordination to fulfillment method, interpreting logic diagrams to understand different states users could be in. The Chat Coordination feature they designed — taking buyer-seller conversations from inquiry all the way through to transaction with order forms and system matching — is a game-changer for how our member businesses connect and exchange. Our volunteer dev team is hard at work bringing these designs to life, and we can't wait to reveal the results later in 2026 🚀 Want to help build technology that creates new exchanges between local businesses — ones that wouldn't have existed otherwise? 💡 Reach out: [email protected]
In October 2025, I got my acceptance letter to be part of Develop for Good’s Winter 2026 cohort–and just last month the 16-week program ended. I had the opportunity to work with the nonprofit organization involveMINT to help redesign their B2B communication system. I took on designing the “Chat Coordination” feature, where a buyer and seller can go from inquiry to transaction more efficiently by utilizing order forms and a system-matching process. It was logistically challenging and complex, but I’m super grateful I was part of this project as I’ve learned a lot as a product designer. A huge thank you to my teammates Lucia Feng, Zeshan Rehan, Rachel Weng, Angela D. Williams, Iris (Xinwei) Chen, and Christy Long for being easy to talk to, super helpful, and kind! It was great meeting you all and working on this project together–I’m excited to see what the future holds for all of us !! :^)

We're so grateful to Angela D. Williams and the entire Develop for Good team for their work on this! 🙌 The Marketplace and Inquiry experience they designed is exactly the kind of exchange coordination our member businesses need — making it easy to discover each other's offers, explore profiles, and initiate trades within the network. Our volunteer dev team is hard at work bringing these designs to life, and we can't wait to reveal the results later in 2026 🚀 Want to help build technology that creates new exchanges between local businesses — ones that wouldn't have existed otherwise? 💡 Reach out: [email protected]
In November 2025, I joined Develop for Good’s Winter 2026 cohort—and last month the 16-week program came to an end. During this experience, I had the opportunity to work with the nonprofit organization involveMINT, a platform that helps food and agricultural businesses connect and exchange goods and services through bartering. As part of the product design team, I focused on the Marketplace and Inquiry experience, designing the buyer journey from discovering businesses to initiating a trade. This included creating high-fidelity mobile designs that help users explore offers, review business profiles, and submit structured inquiries. It was a great opportunity to work on a mission-driven product while continuing to grow as a product designer. A HUGE thank you to my teammates Lucia Feng, Zeshan Rehan, Rachel Weng, Iris (Xinwei) Chen, Christy Long, and Sarah Roman for being supportive and collaborative throughout the process. I truly enjoyed working with you all. #developforgoodwin26 #developforgood #uiuxproductdesigner #involveMint

Last Wednesday, 35+ business leaders and changemakers gathered at Hazel Grove Brewing for involveMINT's Annual Gathering. The highlight? Discovering the breadth of offerings our network members are ready to exchange outside traditional cash transactions - food scrap diversion, catering, consulting, produce, compost, tree planting, and more. By the numbers: • 35+ attendees • 21 businesses and organizations • 130+ community credits exchanged When businesses can meet their needs through mutual credit rather than cash alone, we unlock economic opportunity that might otherwise remain untapped. As economic uncertainty grows, alternative exchange systems provide resilience for businesses and communities. Get involved: involvemint.io/getinvolved Special thanks to Hazel Grove Brewing for hosting. #CommunityEconomy #SocialEnterprise #Pittsburgh #LocalBusiness #CircularEconomy #CommunityWealth

In AmeriCorps NCCC (2013), Daniel Little, involveMINT's founder prepared taxes at North Texas Area United Way—lines out the door, “low-income” neighbors hoping a refund could cover a bill. I saw how our system leaves too many behind. I started involveMINT to build the us economy: a community exchange where everyday actions become local credits, keeping value local so communities & and small, impactful businesses get what they need without cash.
