been meaning to write in, and after listener Mikes question I felt that now is the time!

I have a home server and want input on prioritizing.

I Will need: 
- backups
- monitoring
- documentation
etc. 

how would you go forward with a home server project? 
I have a docker-compose stack with plex, *arr, and other stuff running on an ubuntu box with a zfs mirror of 2x 8TB drives, and another 2 i just shucked and are waiting to be dropped in a pool. (should i extend the one i have? or make a new one?)

I mostly do things as I'm interested, and still have no actual backup of the importat stuff that I'm studdenly putting on the server. 

I'd appreciate any input on prioritization!

I'll also be asking a very similar question to your friends over at 2.5 Admins, and since you seem to span from pragmatic to very serious admins between the shows i hope to have a good idea of how to go forward.
