I was listening to episode 468 and you mentioned cloud dev boxes. When the pandemic started, I was working at a .NET shop with a Windows desktop, but we weren't allowed to bring home our desktop computers, so I ended up remoting into my desktop at the office from my laptop. It was horrible (partly because my internet was bad at the time, but even after upgrading, it was still slow and I lost lots of productivity).

I now work at a company where I primarily work on open source, and I have a VPS set up with tmux and I remote in there for most of my work. I like that a lot, since I can switch between computers quickly and resume my work, and tmux is way more lightweight than anything graphical
