Nik wants to know what value Mike gets from a QA team member...

Mike, you mentioned recently that you have been hiring for a QA person in your company(At least I think you did :)). What value do you think a QA will bring to your team and to you as an owner/manager? Devs can test too, so why not just do that for instance and be happy? I am really curios to get your thoughts on the QA role here.
