Each year we lose some of the great pioneers that have made all of this computing possible. Looking back, who are some of the pioneers you admire most who have passed on, and who are the ones who are still around?

I was rewatching Computer Chronicles and thinking about how the challenges Gary Kildall faced in his day are very, very similar to the ones that Mike faces today. The clothes we wear while we talk about this have changed, but the conversation seems very similar.
