Hi! Love the show. Just had some thoughts to share about the whole "metaverse." (God I hate that buzzword, it's so stupid.) 

First of all, it has existed for long time. Have you ever heard of Second Life? Then there were also Worlds.com, which is probably still up? VR surely will help these type of games (yes, they're games/toys), but the concept is far from new. 

What I think will happen is following: 
1. Companies will try this, but for most it will flop, since it doesn't give an additional benefit. Companies tried this with Second Life, didn't work. I do believe that for some things the VR aspect can help, like maybe showing off apartments to clients that live other side of the world or something. 

2. Harassment will be rampant, since people tend to lose their mind on internet. Add VR to that and there will be even more sexual harassment issues. 

3. Speaking of sex, this is where it will actually succeed. Sex workers will move to VR virtual worlds. And boy it gets weird in those virtual worlds, where there are no limits anymore... 

4. Eventually "metaverse" will be regarded as "oh is it that weird sex thing?" just like "cybering" has that meaning nowadays. Companies don't want anything to do with that, and we move on. Or they capitalize on that and we all become really kinky fuckers. 

Okay yeah this was written a bit tongue-in-cheek but think about it. I was really interested in this "virtual world" stuff like Second Life back in the day, because there was small games inside it you could play, you could create own cool things with scripting and 3d modeling... Could even earn some money! But now it's a wasteland of whatever weird stuff humans can come up with when there's no limits and mostly those people who can't let go of that virtual dream play it anymore.
