Hey!
Long time listener of JB since 2012-2013 and a member. I'll try to keep this short without going into tooo much of the weeds but If you would like more detail I'd be happy to write back in.
While listening to Coded Radio episode 565 towards the end when Chris and Mike were talking about kids going into the trades instead of tech. I really related with Chris when he said his comment about there is no rules against changing careers. For myself it was just that I got into the plumbing union right out of high school back in 09. I have always loved tech and got into linux, virtualization, containers, self hosting, etc in my free time.
But now with how life is going I'm starting to think at age 33 that maybe the trades aren't what I want out of a career and looking at a tech, specifically devopsy, career. So in my free time I continue tinkering and learning on my homelab cluster but I figure its probably time to know some things/basics of a programming language. What are both of your opinions on a language to start digging into/learning? I have been looking at Python or Go a bit but really curious as to both of your thoughts.
Sincerly,
Max
PS: Jar Jar forever!
PPS: Keep up the great show! All the JB shows are the highlight of my commute everyday.
