Last week Shawn asked for advice on being a manager. I have two book recommendations. The first is "The Effective Manager", by Mark Horseman. This book give actual advice not just theory. The second is "The Unicorn Project", by Gene Kim which puts DevOps and how to run a dev shop into a story form. Those two books will set you up for success.
