Hi Chris and Mike,
Been listening since episode 1, currently listening to episode 507 and the conversation about Ford's upcoming auto-repossession. I'm a dark matter web developer for a company that provides GPS devices and a web app to subprime auto lenders. Do I know the harm that is caused by the products that help build? Yes. The problem I have is that the company treats me well, I get paid well, etc. Basically, It's very comfortable here. There is also the thought that if I don't do the work they'll find someone else who will. And the mindset instilled in some of my other coworkers is that we are actually helping the impoverished people by allowing them to get a car when they otherwise wouldn't be able to, but at a ~30% repo rate that isn't true.

On another similar note. Do you use a credit card? Do you keep it paid off at the end of every month so as not to carry a balance? Do you take the rewards that are offered by the card? The rewards that are paid for by other people's interest and fees...

Capitalism will always find a way to keep the rich richer, the poor poorer, and the middle happy enough to stay quiet about what the rich are doing to the poor (and thinking that they too could one day be the rich).
