James is in search of a tool

Hi Guys. A while back you were complaining about businesses that run on Excel or Access, the implication being they should have their own custom line of business application. I'm a one-man specialist repair business, my requirements don't seem to line up with any of the CRM or line of business applications or web apps out there. 

They all have some of what I need, but don't fit properly and would just get in the way. In a previous life, I was a PHP and frontend developer. 

I could knock together a custom application to suit my business needs, but the cost in time would be huge. At the moment I have built a fairly complex Google sheets system that does everything I need and was a great way to prototype data structures and try out different ideas. 

I definitely plan to move to a more stable platform though, do you have any suggestions of frameworks or anything else that essentially let me easily build a GUI for a MySQL database backend?
