Listener Chris is FIRED UP about Crystal

Hey guys!

I am a little bit behind, I just listened to the Ruby in the Rough episode, but I have to plug Crystal!!!

They released version 1 not that long ago, and it's written like Ruby but compiled down and "fast like C". I have started to rewrite some of my Ruby in Crystal and it has been a huge success. They even have a Rails-like ish framework called Amber that you can use for developing websites in Crystal. There are existing compatibility issues with Crystal v1.1.1.1 and Amber but isn't that the joy of open source? ;)

Thank you guys for doing what you do, keep up the great work! I apologize if you've been shilled Crystal before, as I said I am catching up. Definitely check it out!

P.S. Also check out Nim (also released version 1 not that long ago) for a Python-ish compiled optional garbage collected language! THE WORLD IS CHANGING, Y'ALL, AND LIFE IS GOOD.
