Jacob ponders the best way for non-Apple Devs to Collect Feedback.

Determining the right level of feedback takes time and it’s not easy. What is some advice you have for developers to speed up the process of getting to the right feedback solution for their products?

Background: With WWDC behind us we’re now in Beta for the new Apple software. Their Feedback app really lowers the bar for non technical folks to report issues. In contrast I have no idea how I’d ever report an issue with Windows (see tweet below) and the Linux community is all over the map.

Since feedback is such a crucial part of ensuring software delivers the intended value, what are some good techniques to ensure the barriers to feedback are set at appropriate levels and that the techniques for feedback are clearly articulated with end users?
