I am a little bit behind and was listening to LUP 411 today, where you guys talked about options for running AUR stuff on Debian-based distros.
Apart from makedeb and running containers there is a really interesting project called Bedrock Linux. It is a meta-distribution that manages multiple distros as layers. You can install multiple distros at once and then use their respective tools. So you can run Bedrock Linux with Ubuntu as your base layer (called "strata" in Bedrock) and then just run makepkg in your Arch layer.
Would love to here your thoughts about Bedrock. I couldn't find a use-case for it personally, but someone out there might find it interesting.
