> The other day, I found myself in a serendipitous scenario with another podcast that I listen to. Long story short, the host was having some difficulties that I was also simultaneously having, which really excited me and made me want to write in. This is a very small, very niche show that doesn't have a presence on youtube, an email or any other means of contacting, so I decided to let it go; until I went to their Anchor page and saw a built-in message option.

> I considered not sending in a message, since the host has never responded to messages on the show and this messaging system was built in by Anchor; and, beyond that, it really felt gross to create an Anchor account. I finally decided that, if he didn't care for comments, a single message would be easy to ignore and the account didn't require anything too intrusive to create. A couple weeks later, the host dedicated an entire episode to the importance of community and mentioned my message explicitly.

> The whole experience really highlighted the hole that lightning boosts fill, in that there really isn't a good means for communicating that doesn't rely on big businesses trying to outmaneuver each other and leave us beholden to strategy taxes. This creator really seemed to appreciate the message and I considered trying to spread the word of our lord and savior the lightning network, but I feel like crypto bros and entrenched interests have really sullied our ability to bring things like this up.

> I feel like everyone has been approached at least once by someone excited by a new, totally world changing technology built on the blockchainā„¢ on a decentralizedā„¢ network (centralized conglomeration not withdrawing). Maybe this host doesn't want the input, but I feel like this would be a good opportunity. As a podcaster, how would you suggest I approach this situation, if all?

> I haven't seen what the backend is like and I'm scared it may be extra technical to set up. Also, as I write this, I'm listening to Bitcoin Dad Pod and realizing that it would be a better match for this subject matter. Oh well, that's what copy/paste is for. Enjoy the extra sats.
