Marcel On using Proton as a platform...

Hello Chris and Mike,

I have some thoughts about win32 as the universal target. I really think that proton needs more attention in the productivity software space. I would love Fusion 360 in linux. It's one of those applications that doesn't run well in a virtual machine (maybe if I had a 2nd GPU to pass through) and won't be rewritten in electron anytime soon. I wouldn't say it's legacy though. It's still actively developed. Its predecessors are being actively developed.

I have tried Fusion in wine, and while it wasn't perfect, it kinda worked. I bet if someone new what they were doing, a single paid dev could polish it up pretty quickly.

I used to game a lot, so I get the attention. I just wish productivity tools were also getting the same love. I know of proton-caller, but it didn't work well for me. We need more things like that.
