> Kia Ora Chris and Alex, Congrats on the 100!!! Just getting this lightning thing sorted so hopefully this works. I started listening to self hosted a couple of years ago and are now hooked on all the JB shows. Thanks for all the great content it's really helped me on my self hosted journey.

> Apparently several months of this podcast allowed me to absorb enough info start doing selfhosting. Got a home server set up today, connected a bunch of devices over tailscale, and started migrating files, photos, etc. to nextcloud. Sending a few sats as a thank you for giving me the motivation to dive in :)

> After listening to Alex talking about PlexAmp, I dare you to Sonic Summer/Fall/whatever and try a selfhosted OSS music cloud. I've tried Ampache, Airsonic and Navidrome in the past before sticking with Funkwhale. Funkwhale is federated, but private libraries are possible too. They created a non profit organization to manage resources lead by a council. Members are encouraged to contribute ideas and participate in votes. They also acquired financial contributions to support development 1/2

> 2/2 IMO a great thing with music servers is that many apps implement the subsonic api. So there is a defacto standard leading to many apps. On Android, I DSub was the most recommended one, but nowadays I get aldo recommendations for symfonium. Also Funkwhale have their own non subsonic client, while also providing the subsonic api on the server

> For NixOS you can have all your machines in one git repo and even remote build/deploy! Since Nix builds immutable artifacts they can be deployed from building on one machine to save a lot of time and resources.

> Syncthing is probably my most important service syncing Keepass and Logseq. I use those every day.

> Second place is my bitcoin node and Lightning node. Very often used with Bitrefill and The Bitcoin Company for friends and family.

> Also Plex and Nextxloud (calendar and contacts) are still used often.

> Happy 100! Self-Hosted is the antithesis of my podcasting listening. I went from forever Linux dabbling while "hosting" everything on Windows shares to self-hosting (3) Proxmox PC's & running... ahhh... carry the 2... 12 Raspberry pi's! most acquired before the apocalypse. Have ever heard of the...

Mine's a little buggy with my Mitsubishi, after about an hour of driving it crashes(?) the ECU and all the LEDs light up, cruise stops working until I restart (reboot?) the car. Happy 100! Again. You intrdoduced me to Wendle. Cool guy. Looking forward to 128!
