The world works in the strangest of ways. I knew Piotr from primary school; we spent eight years as kids in the same classroom. Back then, he went by the name Wojtek. He was a brilliant friend, so smart, full of energy and ideas. Afterwards, our paths parted, as often happens, but I always had this feeling that he was still around: we both lived in Warsaw, he was present online, and sometimes I heard bits of news through friends of friends. I found out about his passing around New Year’s Eve, and it left me speechless. Thank you very much for sharing your story and for letting me have a peek into your friendship.

I am speechless and in tears reading this. As cheesy as it sounds our loved ones live through us in our memories, in our heart and in the stories we tell about them just like this blogpost. Even though I never met Piotr I can feel his warmth, spirit and can tell how wonderful of a human being he was. This made me reflect on many things in life and appreciate wonderful friendships and humans thank you for sharing Tobi wish you all the best.

You and I have only interacted very minimally online years ago, but something compelled me to read your post. Despite never having met you or Piotr in person, I found this post very touching. May we all aspire to the same kindness, humility and generosity that Piotr embodied. Thank you for taking the time to write and share.
