I am a member of the scientific staff at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory and the North American ALMA Science Center. My research in galaxy evolution is focused on the physical processes of star formation and supermassive black hole growth in both massive galaxies and dwarf galaxies. I work on:
- Molecular gas tracers, including their ability to differentiate between starbursts and black hole growth
- The dynamics of galaxy interactions
- The relationship of galaxy interactions/collisions with star formation and black hole growth
- Neutrino emission from starburst galaxies
My observatory duties focus on supporting users of the Atacama Large Millimeter/sub-millimeter Array.
