Huh, didn’t realize that. They definitely have some intermediate videos on YouTube for free but I guess not as many as on their page.

To practice listening, dreaming Spanish has a ton of videos spoken slowly for different levels. There’s a YouTube channel and a website: https://www.dreaming.com/spanish

For what it’s worth I never felt like I belonged in my home country. And I’ve never lived abroad but when visiting, it always felt very foreign too. As much as I dislike my country’s culture it’s still a part of me that’s very hard to change and I guess that’s the problem with living abroad. In a way, international groups might feel the most comfortable as there’s no predefined culture you have to fit into.
Obligatory Prague is a Parody of Europe
Interesting, apparently the lyrics come from a runic inscription on an ancient grave stone found in Norway.

A usb c mini dock. Those that fit in your hand and are pretty much an entire docking station (multiple ports, hdmi, Ethernet) minus the power supply. So many devices come with only 1-2 ports.

That was also my first thought when I watched it. I don’t remember if they acknowledged it in any way though. In any case neither scenario is that unrealistic.

It feels weird to walk in socks in an external/“low trust” environment. But it’s not like the ground feels weird, it’s like a constant thought in the back of your mind. I would consider an office a low trust environment but not a friend’s house. And it’s a similar feeling to leaving your phone unattended in the same environment. I don’t know if that’s related to what you mean.
The fact that he’d be eligible for parole after 15 years after holding people captive for 24 years is insane.

Ok sorry, they did it once with a slightly different word. Using expat would have been kinda funny

Interesting how this article uses the word immigration a bunch of times but never to describe an American moving to Europe.
You see the registration problem in so many places. If the username is an email, the proper way to validate it without revealing if an account exists is to accept any email address and if it already exists say that in the registration email you would send anyway. With the appropriate throttling if needed.
Network tab: server returned an html page with the words “Something went wrong.”
When I get into someone’s car who doesn’t use streaming (usually someone older). Almost everyone listens to the same 3-4 stations which put on the same 20-30 songs on a loop.

As someone who likes menthol, I am really sad I cannot eat toothpaste.

You might be onto something

Greek: Ναι (ne) means yes. Greeks often move their head up and down to say yes.
Bulgarian: Не (ne) means no. Bulgarians often move their head up and down to say no.
So if someone says ne and moves their head up and down it could be a Greek saying yes or a Bulgarian saying no. In reality the movements are not the same but it would probably be confusing to an outsider.
Worth noting, Poe is 100% worth reading in the original if your English is good enough (which it probably is if you’re here).
At this point I don’t care what the icons look like, just that they stop changing them for a minute.
