It also shows a lack of understanding for the UAEs political system. Who is he referring to? The UAE has multiple rulers and ruling families.

3·3 days agoPresident Tayyip Erdogan is set to officially announce the deal at an event on Friday afternoon in Istanbul, alongside F1’s Chief Executive Officer Stefano Domenicali and Mohammed Ben Sulayem, president of the sport’s governing body FIA.
Erdogan pre-announcing the announcement to the media, tf is he doing?
I didn’t need to, was walking around at my school when some other student was watching them out in the open on a computer in the hallway

This GT Journalist seemed to be impressed by Stroll. He basically got into the car with little training and drove a night segment, which is obviously something that he isnt used to.
The weird blue flags rule of GT World basically funken the car over, with even GT3 Routinier Roberto Merhi collecting blue flag penalties. When Stroll jumped into the car, it was basically already over for them.

Most development drivers mainly do sim. But the question is always: how many tests in old f1 cars do the teams do behind closed doors, without anyone knowing?
Apparently she is in a legal battle against Michael Wolff who claimed that Epstein was the one who originally introduced Melania and Trump to each other
I do wonder how many private tests f1 teams do every year with old cars for junior drivers or paying drivers that we never know about because they never bevome public knowledge

F1 as the racing series? Of course not. But every serious team has these clauses. Why the hell Audi does not force Wheatley to do a sabbatical before starting at Aston Martin is a gold question (if the rumours are true that he will immediately join them). It would be very unusual for sure.
Yeah, from how I understand Audi’s structure, Binotto is much more central to the project than Wheatley has been

Today I Learned@lemmy.world•TIL: How The Founder Of Zionism, Theodor Herzl, Planned on Eradicating Palestinians as Early as 1890English
7·1 month agoThe quote from his diary certainly is genuine, and it relates to what Herzl calls the “taking of the land” (Landnahme, obviously a reference to the biblical episode of the Israelites taking over Canaan). As is visible here in the german original text, Herzl talks about winning over the local land-owning population by luring away “the poors”.

3·1 month agoIn order to simplify the engine building process, they removed an electrical part of the engine that was used at the start of the race. Now it is harder to start the engines, and Ferrari were the only manufacturer/team to raise this concern in advance.
