  • This post may not be completely accurate. Remember, if something seems almost unbelievable, and it confirms your biases, be extra skeptical before believing it. From Snopes:

    • The claim that Iran planned to execute eight women by hanging is still under investigation.
    • The rumor gained popularity after U.S. President Donald Trump shared it on Truth Social alongside an appeal to Iran not to harm the women. Trump later appeared to suggest that his involvement led to four of the women being released and four receiving one-month prison sentences.
    • Iranian state media dismissed the entire story as “fake news” and called Trump’s suggestion that he had affected the women’s fate a fabrication.
    • The nonprofit organization Iran Human Rights confirmed to Snopes that the eight women Trump referred to in his post were real people whom Iranian authorities detained in early 2026. One of the women had received a death sentence while another two could potentially face the same fate, according to the group.
    • It was unclear whether a collage of images Trump included in his post depicted real women facing the death penalty in Iran and, if so, whether they were the same women IHR named. It was also unclear whether any or all of the images were generated or enhanced using artificial intelligence or traditional digital editing tools, beyond cropping and the addition of a backlit effect.
    • Snopes sought to confirm the identities of the women in the post Trump shared with Iranian authorities, as well as any charges or sentences they faced. We await replies to our queries. Information about arrests, charges and sentences in Iran is difficult to verify because the country’s justice system is neither transparent nor public.

Little kids who don’t pay attention to the story, or adults who are aware of the series but have never played.

One aspect common to most Zelda games is an open world with no NG+. After beating it, you load back into to last save before the final boss fight. You are free to explore the world with all your equipment, and fight the boss again whenever you want. It was common for many kids to be introduced to Zelda in this state. You go to a friend’s house and load up a completed game with all items collected, no story or dialogue, and a big world to explore. All you know is you are controlling a mute elf with a sword and shield, and it’s called Zelda.
