Quickload is a gaming accelerator for anything that’s gaming related.

The overall purpose of Quickload is to make its gaming startups really take off. The aim of the 4-month program is to help them get in their best shape possible and be prepared for it.

We focus to create an atmosphere of intensity, focus, clarity and honesty. Everyone around the founders – us, the other founders in the batch, the alumni, the speakers and the investors – wants to help our startups succeed. In this atmosphere, it’s hard not to get highly motivated. We need that kind of motivation because it is what one needs to do something as difficult as starting his own game company.

We aim to have our alumni to describe the time spent at Quickload as the most insightful and productive period of their life.

Quickload is based in Turin, Italy. We give office space to the selected startups, and we require at least one member of the team to be in Turin during the 4-months acceleration period.

Everyone in the team can participate remotely at all the activities we organize.

Quickload is devoted to create a strong community of gaming entrepreneurs and to achieve this, sharing the office with the other startups creates a lot of opportunities for contamination of ideas and bond creation between founders. Plus, OGR Torino, the innovation hub Quickload is in, has a very valuable community that can be accessed only by being here physically.

Yes. We accept solo founders. That said, our advice remains that one-person gaming startups are tough and you’re more likely to succeed with a co-founder.

It’s important for the founding team to have the skills to build their product themselves, rather than outsourcing it to someone else.

For most businesses, that usually means you need a technical co-founder.

You can certainly apply when you are a full-time student or employee, but we expect the founders to commit to working full-time on their company during the batch and afterwards if accepted. Plus, you will miss many activities if you have another job.

It won’t. Even if we tried not to accept competing companies, we’d end up with them anyway because gaming startup ideas are very volatile.
