Self-Hosted

This page lists and describes the technology that I self-host, or the tech that I’d like to self-host.

It’s early-days in my self-hosting journey, so I don’t have many things actually self-hosted quite yet. But I have plenty of aspirations! As I begin to self-host things, I will make changes to this page.

• ❌ Bookmarks: I used to use Pocket, and now I’m using nothing. Actively looking for a replacement.
• ❌ Email: Will I ever actually self-host my own email? Probably not. But it’d be really cool to do so I’m going to include it here. Right now I use Proton 🤷‍♂️.
• ⚠️ Microblog: I use Masto.Host for hosting Mastodon. It’s a reliable, non-big-tech, managed hosting provider. In the future I’d like to self-host this or at least self-host some kind of microblogging alternative like GoToSocial.
• ❌ Podcast: I used to use K&T Host for managed-hosting my Castopod instance. But K&T Host is dead. Need to migrate this elsewhere.
• ❌ RSS: I currently use Feedly. Blegh.
• ❌ Social Platform: I’ve been using Discord forever for this. Need to migrate ASAP.
• ❌ Website: I use GitHub Pages which I’ve been happy with functionally. That said, I don’t care for Microsoft and would like to move away.
