It’s the only way I can get to the menus on our website, and I can make the changes – but without a way to publish it, I’m stuck!

I cannot find a publish button anywhere in the customize tool. And, it is never mentioned again in this article. I’m sure there is a very simple explanation but no one can argue that WordPress is an intuitive system, and the publish button is not jumping out at me.

Thanks

It was: https://wordpress.org/documentation/wordpress-version/version-3-4/ which was published on 2012-06-13.

As a general recommendation for the documentation of major features, I’d appreciate a short mention in which version/date that feature was introduced with a link to the to the official changelog/blog. This provides context which can often help.

Let’s you estimate why something worked as it worked back then, and when that behavior changed, or offers an explanation why something does yet not work where you would possibly expect it.

In some instances of the documentation the genesis is mentioned or shortly wrapped up, in some not at all. Would appreciate that. Searching yourself through the Changelog or via Google is cumbersome detective work, as they have no easy chronological search capabilities.
