I would like to suggest a feature idea that could create strong value for both students and organizations while also helping Appwrite grow its user base and adoption.
Many students are required to complete mini projects and major projects as part of their university curriculum. If Appwrite can provide a 30-day free trial for students, along with structured certification-based learning courses, it can become a powerful platform for academic and project-based development.
The certification program can include:
- guided classes on how to use Appwrite
- hands-on tutorials for real-world project building
- practical use cases of Appwrite services and tools
- API key usage across multiple programming languages
- project deployment and backend integration workflows
Students are highly motivated by certifications, especially when they can use them in resumes, placements, and interviews. From my own experience as a student, I have seen many classmates actively pursue certification programs because they increase confidence and improve employability.
If students use Appwrite for university projects and later apply the same skills in real-world company environments, the chances of companies adopting Appwrite as a paid solution may significantly increase.
This can create a strong growth cycle:
student learning → project usage → job readiness → company adoption → paid enterprise usage
