What is JecHacks?

JecHacks is a free, non-profit 12-hour hackathon for high school students, held in Mississauga, Ontario. Students of all skill levels come together to build projects, attend workshops, and compete for prizes in a fun, collaborative environment. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced developer, JecHacks is your place to create, learn, and connect.

What is JecHacks?
JecHacks is a non-profit 12-hour hackathon for high school students, held in Mississauga, Ontario. Students of all skill levels come together to build projects, learn, and have fun.
Who can participate?
Any high school student can participate, regardless of coding experience. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced developer, you're welcome at JecHacks!
Do I need a team?
You can participate solo or form a team. Teams can have up to 4 members. Don't have a team? No worries — you can find teammates at the event or through our Discord server.
Is there a cost to attend?
JecHacks is completely free! We provide food, workshops, and a great experience at no cost to participants. All you need to bring is your laptop and enthusiasm.
What should I bring?
Bring your laptop, charger, and any other devices you'd like to use. We'll provide food, drinks, Wi-Fi, and a great atmosphere. A water bottle and some snacks are always a good idea too!
Will there be prizes?
Yes! We currently have $5000+ in prizes across multiple categories including Overall, Most Creative, Best Technical, and Most Impactful. More prizes and sponsors are being added.
