🚨 Disruption is no longer the exception in airline operations. It’s the new reality. How you communicate during disruption is now a defining factor in passenger perception, loyalty, and long-term brand trust. Our newly updated white paper, The Future of Disruption Communications (2026 edition), explores how airlines are moving from fragmented, reactive messaging to a more coordinated, operational approach to communication. In this updated edition, you'll find: ✅ Why more technology doesn’t always mean better communication ✅ How fragmented messaging increases operational pressure and cost ✅ Why passenger expectations now exceed most airline capabilities ✅ How clear, coordinated communication improves service recovery ✅ The role of centralised communication in a connected passenger journey As disruption continues to impact operations, the gap between what passengers expect and what airlines can deliver is widening. Closing that gap is now critical. Airlines that get this right are reducing costs, improving service recovery, and delivering better experiences at scale. Meet Joe Bennett, our Sales Development Representative! Born and raised in 15below’s hometown of Brighton, Joe joined the team six months ago and has quickly made an impact. In his role, he works closely with new airlines, helping to explore their challenges and understand how 15below can support in addressing them. If you were at the PTE World last month, you may have already met him. Outside of work, Joe is passionate about the arts, with a keen interest in film, literature, and music. For better or worse, he’s also a dedicated Arsenal fan, and can often be found at the Emirates Stadium. In this month’s edition of our newsletter ‘Well-Travelled’, we caught up with Joe to learn more about his experience at 15below so far, what excellent communication means to him, and how his background in customer-facing travel roles shapes his approach today. He also shared the one skill he’d love to master in an instant! In each edition of our newsletter we speak to a different member of the 15below team. 📢 When disruption hits, are your passengers getting the updates they need? Over the past year, the industry has spoken a lot about disruption, rising passenger expectations, and the role communication plays in protecting trust. When operations are under pressure, passengers look for clarity. Timely, accurate communications are critical, yet poor-quality passenger data continues to undermine the experience, even when airlines do everything else right. In our latest blog, Damian C., our Technical Operations Manager, explains: ✅ The operational risk of invalid email addresses ✅ Why incomplete or inaccurate data leaves passengers frustrated when it matters most ✅ How clean, validated data reduces operational pressure and protects passenger trust When passengers don’t receive updates, frustration grows. With accurate, reliable data, airlines can deliver the right message at the right time - turning disruption into a smoother, more controlled experience. 15below reposted this
Two very different airline visits — one universal challenge. Over the last two weeks I had the chance to visit #Ryanair and #CroatiaAirlines. On paper, they couldn’t be more different: one a low‑cost powerhouse, the other a national flag carrier with a traditional service model. But the conversations were strikingly similar. Every airline — regardless of size or strategy — is battling the same challenge: keeping passengers informed, reassured, and in control when IROPs hit. At 15below, this is exactly where we help. Whether it’s automating proactive notifications, giving passengers self‑serve options, or reducing pressure on operational teams, the goal is the same: - Faster, clearer communication - Consistent messaging across channels - Less manual effort for staff - A smoother experience during disruption Disruption doesn’t discriminate. But with the right workflows and technology, the passenger experience doesn’t have to suffer. Great conversations this week — and exciting to see airlines of every type pushing to make IROP communication a true differentiator.

What a fantastic start to Aviation Festival Asia! ✈️ The 15below team has loved reconnecting with familiar faces and meeting new ones across the aviation community. It’s been great to see so many of you at Stand G09. If you haven’t stopped by yet, there’s still time tomorrow to meet our Head of Business Development, Al Tredinnick, APAC Business Development Manager, Paul Grundy and APAC Commercial Account Manager, Adeline Goh-Taylor. A big thank you to everyone who attended Al’s panel discussion or joined his roundtable. His panel, “How can data & digital tools help airlines put passengers at the heart of disruption response strategies?”, sparked valuable conversations around: • How passenger persona analysis can help airlines tailor IROPs strategies to different traveller needs. • The role of new crew logistics and communication tools in improving disruption response. • How airlines are addressing data gaps to better understand passengers booking via third parties. • Which data-driven decision-making tools are proving most effective for managing irregular operations. Our roundtable, “How will AI and conversational messaging transform the end-to-end passenger journey?”, also led to some fantastic discussions around how airlines are adopting AI and automation to enhance disruption management. Attendees highlighted the growing need for personalised, real-time guidance, particularly for wayfinding, tight connections, and baggage disruptions, alongside stronger use of data, feedback, and sentiment to continuously improve both operational performance and customer experience. It’s been a brilliant first day, and we’re looking forward to more insightful conversations as the festival continues tomorrow! #aviationfestasia #aviationfestivalasia #aviationfestival #travelindustry #airlineindustry #passengerexperience #travelnews #customerexperience #aviation #travelindustrynews #airlines #airlinedisruption #passengercommunication
