Super excited to partner with Ralf Gulde, Marc Tuscher, and the Sereact team for their next chapter of growth! After visiting them in Stuttgart, it was immediately clear that they are operating at the absolute forefront of the industry and are exactly the right team to build this new era of AI robotics. Headline is leading their $110M Series B, which will help scale thousands of systems globally. Proud to be part of this journey, alongside Creandum, Point Nine, Air Street Capital, and others! cc Trevor Neff Linda Brosig https://lnkd.in/e7MFRG9A

  • Proud to lead Sereact's $110M Series B. Ralf Gulde and Marc Tuscher made a bet that real robotics AI could only be built in production, not in a lab. One billion picks later, the data proves it. We believe physical AI will rewire global supply chains and manufacturing. Sereact is building the model layer that makes that possible: robot-agnostic, deployment-proven, and now expanding to the US. Welcome to the Headline portfolio, Sereact! 🤖 Trevor Neff Anna Faulkner Linda Brosig

Today we're announcing $110M in Series B funding, the launch of Cortex 2, and Sereact's expansion into the United States. Physical AI has a data problem. Everyone is racing to build world models - systems that let robots reason about what will happen before they act. Most of that work is happening in research labs, trained on synthetic data. A world model trained on simulation learns a world that doesn't exist. We took a different bet five years ago. You can't build real robotics AI in a lab. You build it with a data flywheel fed by real deployments - shipping into production, living with the failures, and letting the model learn from what actually happens on the floor. The numbers show it worked. More than 200 Sereact systems are live across Europe. Over one billion real production picks. One human-in-the-loop intervention per 53,000. Cortex 2, launching today, takes that foundation and adds a world model. The robot runs possible actions against a learned model of physics and object behaviour, picks the one most likely to succeed, and updates in real time. It takes Cortex out of the picking bin and into work where contact matters - assembly under tension, kitting, placement where every millimeter counts. We don't build robots. We don't sell services. We ship one thing: the model that runs on any robot. Single arm, dual arm, humanoid, fixed cell - same brain across all of it. To the Sereact team: every pick in production is you. Thank you. To the customers who bet on us early - Daimler Truck, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Austrian Post, bol., Rohlik Group, Active Ants, MS Direct, DeltiLog, Monta - we owe this moment to you. The round was led by Headline, with Bullhound Capital, Felix Capital, and Daphni joining. Air Street Capital, Creandum, and Point Nine all re-invested. Thank you for the conviction. Next stop: Boston. More soon.

We just published our Grüns investment thesis, from first taste to Unilever acquisition. When we invested in Grüns out of Headline's Growth Fund, our conviction came from every angle: ✅ A product that is a daily habit, not a one-off purchase. ✅ A business model built around staple consumer needs. ✅ A brand that is distinct and self-sustaining. ✅ A form factor – gummy packs – that doubles as a platform. ✅ A uniquely dedicated team. Pausing on that last one. The culture at Grüns is every bit as responsible for their success as the exceptional product. They operate with accountability and autonomy. And they put customers first. Pictured here: with the leadership team packing orders for customers in the Texas fulfillment center. In 32 months, the ingredients above added up to one of the fastest growth stories in CPG history. Our full post here: https://lnkd.in/gkNCp2MA Congrats Chad Janis, Connor Stastny, Katie Cirulli, Juliet Choi, Claire Yi, Paul McCauley, Janna Neinken, Jaime Petkanics, Matt Webb, Connor Dault and the entire Grüns team 🐻💚🚀

  • We’re proud to celebrate Astrid Moullé-Berteaux on her nomination to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe list, announced today. 🎉 Astrid brings curiosity, sharp judgment, and generosity to everything she does. She spends a lot of time with founders across AI and vertical software, asks thoughtful questions, and shares her perspective openly. She’s also become an important part of our European team: collaborative, thoughtful, and never afraid to challenge assumptions in a way that makes everyone better. We’re lucky to work with her, and very happy to see her recognized today. Congrats, Astrid! So well deserved. 🤍 #Forbes30Under30 Iain Martin #AI #VentureCapital #Europe

When I tell people Headline invested in Grüns, the response is almost always the same: "I love Grüns!" I am a daily Grüns customer myself – Grünny Smith Apple is my favorite edition – and I have never encountered this kind of unsolicited brand love. It’s rare, and it shows in the numbers. Grüns cohorts retain at rates that would be enviable to most software companies. That durability is one of the many reasons we partnered with Chad Janis and the team. Today, with Unilever's acquisition of Grüns, the world is about to eat a lot more gummy bears. Huge congratulations to the entire Grüns team!

Almost three years ago, I told my wife, Hannah, it would be a dream if Grüns could one day partner with Unilever. I'm thrilled to share that today is that day. Unilever is acquiring Grüns. Grüns was born out of a simple belief: your healthiest habit is the one you’ll actually keep. Health should be something you look forward to. The company was born from humble beginnings. By our second anniversary, we crossed $300M of revenue. Today, we ship 10 million gummies daily. Grüns is the # 1 Greens Supplement brand at retail and on Amazon. We’re more accessible than ever, available in over 7,000 retail doors. And unsurprisingly, I’m confident this is just the beginning. What’s the “secret” to our growth? Consumers actually use, enjoy, and benefit from Grüns every day. In fact, 95% of our customers enjoy Grüns at least 4-6x per week, with 80% enjoying Grüns daily. If you’ve tried our gummies, I’m sure you can relate. So why Unilever? That’s easy. Because this was never about finding a buyer. It was about finding the right partner to amplify what we've built, for you, our customers. Unilever Wellbeing has a proven track record of propelling incredible brands into household names with care. They share our focus on science-backed innovation and products that make a real impact. Our team is thrilled to learn from and contribute to Unilever Wellbeing. What sealed it for me was the people. Led by Jostein Solheim, the Unilever team is smart, passionate, and kind. I’m grateful the Grüns team will work alongside individuals who care as deeply about our mission as we do. Grüns will remain Grüns — just more impactful and incrementally better every day. I'm grateful to stay on as CEO. There is so much left to accomplish, and so much ahead we’re excited to show you. To our customers: this moment belongs to you. Our team wakes up every day dreaming up new ways to serve you. To our investors: thank you for believing in us. To the Grüns team: no words can express what each of you means to me. Thank you for dreaming big, committing fully, and leading with kindness. The last few years have been the best of my life. But I can confidently say the next several years are going to be even better. And to my wife, Hannah: from our Stanford dorm room to this moment, thank you for believing in me. Thank you for being “Employee 0”, as you’ve coined yourself. Thank you for your endless patience and love. We started Grüns to propel the nutrition category forward. With Unilever, that reality becomes more achievable. P.S. We're officially changing our name to Ünilever. (Kidding. But the umlaut does work...)

Our thesis at Headline was simple: the healthiest habit is the one you actually keep. By making nutrient support a daily highlight, Grüns became one of the fastest-growing VMS brands in history. And one of the stickiest, with 80% of customers enjoying their Grüns daily. We are beyond thrilled with this outcome. Huge congratulations to Chad and the team - we have no doubt this acquisition by Unilever will bear 🐻 fruit. 🚀 Nancy Xiao Jake Horwitz

Product and customer obsession. That's what Chad Janis and other generational founders have in common. Every detail about Grüns is intentional - from the nostalgic teddy bear shape to the daily pack form factor. They don't ask consumers to sacrifice on any dimension of taste, nutrient support, efficacy, convenience, or fun. The entire Grüns team is remarkable. Calling them dedicated, high horsepower, and radically candid doesn't even do it justice. And they put the customer first. I'm grateful to be a supporter of the Grüns journey. Since Headline led the Series B early last year, we've seen Grüns more than triple revenue to $300M+ by last August, launch successfully across major national retailers, and expand the portfolio to include Nütrops, Immün (my personal favorite), Jüced, and many delicious limited time flavors. And they're just getting started. We're proud and excited to see Grüns join Unilever and expand their impact to even more consumers.

We’ve seen at least 500+ AI native healthcare companies over the last two years, and I was convinced product-led growth wouldn't work. Heidi proved me wrong. I met Dr. Thomas Kelly in June 2024 when they had just crossed $1M ARR. What made me pay attention wasn't the growth. It was the retention. Doctors weren't just trying it. They were relying on it. In an industry famous for shelfware, that's everything. I thought this would earn them the right to build more for these users over time and they've continued to deliver just that, at scale. $1M → $50M ARR in under two years. Over 120 million patients seen across 190 countries and in 110 languages and it still feels early.

This month's DACH data series is dedicated to the never-ending discussion about which city is the #1 Tech-hub in DACH. Here are my three main takeaways when looking at the 2025 data: 1. Munich leads the DACH race in terms of most capital raised, however it is strongly impacted by a few large growth rounds, when taking these out of the equation, Berlin still leads (while stagnating since 2023). 2. Early-stage round sizes are growing across all three hubs, with the average Series A round size growing by more than 75% YoY. 3. Outside the top 3, Lausanne and Cologne are moving up to 4th and 5th in the ranking, while Hamburg and Vienna lose places. Munich has overtaken Berlin for the first time in 2025 on total funding, and I expect them to do so again in 2026 with (1) more growth capital flowing into the ecosystem to double down on existing scale-ups and (2) more early-stage capital being deployed to Munich as talent leaves existing growth companies to build their own ventures. Berlin still has an ace up its sleeve though, with more early-stage companies that raised in 2025, expected to raise growth capital in 2026 if they continue to grow. Potentially, if the robotics market continues to attract large capital amounts, we may even see Zurich claim the sought-after top spot. Who do you think will win the DACH crown in 2026? Source: Crunchbase (Dataset only includes rounds from Pre-Seed through Series D)
