Ambiguity kills software projects. Over-communicate, because chances are you are not communicating enough. Communication silos are more common than you think. If your project manager thinks of the software or goals differently than the developers, designers or clients do - you got a serious problem. Clarity helps exceed and meet expectations. Aka keeps people happy.

Every frontend developer's internal monologue at 2 AM: Float it, clear it, flex it, grid it Position absolute, where'd I hide it? Z-index 9999, still won't show it !important everything, fuck it, YOLO it Margin collapse it, can't explain it Padding vs margin? Just complain it Center a div? Stack Overflow it Vertical align? You'll never know it Calc it, var it, nest it, scope it Custom properties? Learn to cope it Transform it, transition, animate it Jank at 60fps? Investigate it Media query it, breakpoint it Mobile first then desktop joint it Rem it, em it, px it, % it vw, vh, which one's the best? Debate it Pseudo-class it, ::before it Content: ""; (what's it for?) Ignore it Specificity wars, can't override it Inline styles? You really tried it Grid-template-areas, name it Subgrid support? Still can't claim it Aspect-ratio finally shipped it IE11 broke? Good riddance, dip it Tailwind it, BEM it, CSS-in-JS it Styled-components, is this progress? Sass it, Less it, PostCSS process it Build tool broke? The pain is bottomless Inspect it, computed styles, check it Box model viewer, dissect it That one pixel off? Obsess it Client says "make it pop", regret it -- PS: Read a Git style version of this the other day. Unfortunately don't know anymore from whom. Genius!

Can we leave those Vibe coding, AI native Engineer and Anxiety-driven content due AI in 2025? 🤡 Feeling like I read the same stuff every day for a year now despite unfollowing those people on a daily basis lol. And I don't want to create my own custom feed since I like to discover new people either. It's crazy that most people complain about the same stuff, yet we tend to engage that exact content. Broken world 😂 🐌

What nobody tells you about Software development (like actually). 1) Even with AI, you might be spending hours on finding the cause of a bug. 2) Every feature you add, increases the likelihood something will break in future. 3) Most software remains unused and will be abandoned. 4) Over-engineering and Under-engineering are both like cancer. They spread exponentially across your project and might bring your project to a halt. 5) Different developers, different mentalities. Some developers do have a "god-complex" which usually becomes an issue for teams even if they're the most skilled. 6) Automated tests become increasingly important the more mature your project becomes. At some point you would never notice something broke in a different corner of your project. 7) Unexpected work always hides where you don't want it. At deployment, right before the deadline, .. Something I miss?

I just had Influenza, completely lost my voice for almost 2 weeks. Couldn't do anything. Didn't know what would help me recover my voice faster and what is bad for it. While you should always ask qualified doctors for real medical advice, I found AI tremendously helpful to ask the small questions which I otherwise wouldn't have gotten from a doctor that extensively: 1) Should I train my voice or rather stay quiet as much as possible. Instead of trying to speak if today is better, just stay quiet. And do NOT whisper, it's the worst. 2) Dry hot air is toxic, until that I used my oven to get warm. I used my water boiler to get humidity into the sweet spot of 40-60%. 3) Don't drink coffee, and avoid your vocal cords getting dry. 4) When you got some voice again, don't use words that start with vocals (A, O, I, ..) but instead prefix everything with an additional H, to soften the burden on your voice. 5) Inhaling steam doesn't help your vocal cords at all. The water droplets are way too big to reach your lung & vocal cords. Use a nebuliser with 0.9% NACL instead (which did wonders for me, within 1-2 days I was able to speak again!!). 6) Discovered that sage tea is great for the first half but bad on the second half of your laryngitis (voice lost). First half = helps fight viruses, Second half = dries out your vocal cords (exactly what you don't want) 7) Use the Huffing technique when you have to cough. This avoids additional pressure on your vocal cords. Yes, trusting AI on medical, legal, technical questions etc. can be dangerous, we all know that. But this is honestly the biggest life hack for me so far. Getting medical consultation on the SMALL questions, to recover faster. How many of the above would you have known?
