I let mine out as soon as they're done eating so they don't shit on the floor and none of them have died yet. Do you have some kind of genetic disaster with fucked up insides or are you just neurotic?
>>
>>5110424
You're the only dude to resort to insults. Are you ignorant to bloat or do you not know how to talk to people?
>>
>>5110426
The latter, it seemed fine when I was writing it but reading it now it's unnecessarily abrasive. I think I need a nap. Mea culpa.
>>
>>5110434
I understand. I forget the demographic for 4chan, respectfully. Sorry for getting defensive
>>
>>5110450
It's my bad. I wasn't paying enough attention, overdid the snark, and it came off like I was being a cunt for no reason.

Anyway, I was trying to say that from what I've seen, if your dog isn't predisposed to bloat, you can let him do whatever and he'll most likely be fine. I wouldn't take him on a run or anything, but if he decides to run around on his own, whatever.

If he does have major risk factors though, I don't know. Probably keep doing what you're doing.

Three in a system is asking for trouble. Just put plants in your display tank, it makes fish less skittish.
>>
>>5110270
I mean plants will be in the main tank, but that's not the point.
I want to ensure the fish actually have enough water supply to account for their mass. The second tank is just going to be a giant refugium of plantsand other such things.
More water == more stable environment == more fish in showcase.
>>
I want something long that waves in the current - eleocharis, or valisneria?
>>
What do you think about recommended tank size metas?
For example I find it ridiculous that bettas are now required 10 gals when these fish absolutely thrive 3.5-5 gal planted tanks as long as the water quality is good and is densely planted.
>>
>>5110505
it's retarded for bettas since they barely move and probably an overreaction to decades of normgroids putting stuff in tiny bowls and saying that fish 'only grow as big as their tank allows'

on the other hand why are stores like PetSmart still selling bala sharks when zero percent of their customers have an appropriately-sized tank?

it's that time again

It's disheartening how even genuinely intelligent people like Bob Gymlan can get caught up in the Bigfoot nonsense. They basically ignore all the evidence against and go "he's out there i just know it bro i just know it they can't keep hiding him forever"

i have a bigfoot guy buddy who saw this at sxsw and when he called to tell me about this he sounded like absolutely devastated, like a godly man whose faith was utterly shattered.
it was the only good bigfoot footage. there is literally no actual evidence.

>>5109776
It's beyond the deboonk, they found the rehearsal footage, it's an actual deathblow. Allegedly they almost got Bob to come clean in the documentary after they revealed they had it but his wife stopped him, because they've made millions in royalties selling the rights to this shit which was a known hoax.

>>5109649
I think this is way overly generous. I'm thinking thousands of years ago. Maybe indigenous ancestral memories of either hominids or large primates in asia, maybe a species that crossed beringia and existed in the new world before the natives killed them all. I do not think sasquatch, if it was actually in north america, survived until the europeans arrived. The only remaining theory is that sasquatch is an interdimensional entity that either intentionally or inadvertently phases in and out of our reality.
>>
>>5110462
>I think this is way overly generous
Well yes of course, i would bet on it going extinct along time ago but i also like to consider the possibility of it being more recent
>>
>>5110462

And these kind of theories make bigfoot lame and not interesting anymore.

Excellent, some meds aren't sweet enough to hide in treats. If they take it most of it without a fight, it's a win
Steroids don't taste great, vid rel is Dillinger getting his. I wouldn't say he likes it but he would just do that, take it and look for a treat after I put him back in the cage. It's a steroid tablet, crushed and mixed with water, little watery so the inevitable dribble doesn't get to far

This thread is dedicated to all animals of the Reptilia and Amphibia classes. Topics include, but are not limited to: geckos, snakes of all kinds, frogs, salamanders, newts, turtles, tortoises, and much more. Before asking a question, do a search on the internet to see if it has been answered
Classifieds for finding breeders and products:
>morphmarket.com
>kingsnake.com
>faunaclassifieds.com
>caudata.org
Most forums will have a "for sale" section on them, so look for that, especially if you have a specific herp you want. Craigslist can also be a good source for cheap aquariums, and make sure to check for any reptile expos that occur in your area.

When asking a question, make sure to include these details:
>Type and size of animal
>Enclosure dimensions

I've seen it with multiple species of darts or tree frogs at several well funded and highly regarded aquariums in the US, but they're always very large - the smallest was maybe a 4x6x4' which just had two species. Mystic Aquarium (famous for its beluga whales) has a roughly 6' cube that has four or five different, similarly sized dart species, but I suspect they are placed in there as full sized adults.

sorry if this is a blogpost or whatever, i mostly just lurk /an/ and very rarely post
my corn snek kicked her bucket last january and ive been ruminating for a while but now feel like i wanna get back into the thing again
im a UK fella and not super well-versed by any means but i plan on visiting my local reptile shop next week and seeing whether or not they can order a bluetongue for me, been wanting to keep a lizard for a while but i didn't have room while my snek was alive, and i think the viv i had for her is too small for a skink so im probably gonna be looking into purchasing a whole new setup
i'm seeing a lot of conflicting info online about bluetongue care, mainly in terms of substrate and diet (some say high quality cat/dog food is fine, some say don't do that)
are there any idiotproof "care sheets" or whatever you guys would recommend to a potential new bluetongue owner?

Who is Jefrey (with one F)?

He was found abandoned in some bushes filthy and covered in fleas late one night in mid-July 2024. He’s all grown up, and enjoys car rides, climbing trees, going to new places, and most of all, his capybara. Some believe him to be a goblin or gremlin. Jefrey was named after the Pixies song “Space (I Believe In)”.

Jefrey suffers from mild ear-ectile dysfunction.

Originally posted him here back in July 2024 seeking advice for potential health problems due to his folded ears, some /an/ons wanted more of him, and so now you’re stuck with him.

Millenials are just new age Boomers. They think they are their big brother generation Gen X but they are a throwback to Boomers. Performative activism but the real bottom line is their own hedonism or consumerism while placing the blame on newer generations like Zoomers or Alphas, just as the Boomers did to Gen X.
