“I will spend my last dying breath if I need to, and I will spend every penny of Apple’s $40 billion in the bank, to right this wrong,” Jobs said. “I’m going to destroy Android, because it’s a stolen product. I’m willing to go thermonuclear war on this.”

Now Apple is paying Google $400 million and $600 million for a deal to power iCloud?

Is Apple surrendering on the installment plan? LOL!

Loading an App (even a game) tests for many things (readspeed of memory, CPU performance, and maybe even touch delay and display delay) but for GPU performance it doesn’t test, that only starts when the App is loaded.

In the US services like Uber and Lyft are called Rideshare for tax purposes. It might be more clear to to say they are including rideshare AND taxis in the new update, as it appears that both features are new- previously it would only show Uber.

Today I saw this news and I’m asking myself if Google still follow the way of “Don’t be evil”

https://docs.google.com/…/1e8D…/edit…

My fear is that they absorb it slowly, let me explain:
These days I was skiing in the Italian Alps, and I read the news that [My Tracks] the app of Google to trace the paths in a simple and intuitive way, will stop working since April 30, 2016

https://support.google.com/maps/answer/6333516?hl=en

4 days ago the news that Chis Poole, the founder of 4chan, will work for Google, probably with the aim of relaunching the social services of the company

http://fortune.com/2016/03/08/google-hires-chris-poole/

Yesterday this news ….

I absolutely do not feel myself in the position of accuse anyone and I admire very much Mr.Poole for what he has created and the fact of providing publicly his email to anyone who needs to contact him, which is rare for a person in his position

http://content.time.com/…/article/0,8599,1894028,00.html

In recent months I have sent this project many times, to university professors, companies and people more or less involved in the IT world. By the views to the emails, the answers and phone and in-person interviews, I realized that the project has value and arouses interest in anyone who reads it, but apart from that, no one will give you help if you do not already have your own team.

I tried to form a team, but the amount of work for three people is exaggerated and it would also be for ten, because these people will hardly spend more than a few hours per week to the project and the funds are not billionaires.

I wrote to Google hoping to find help, because they would have both the forces that the interest to build the project, but overcome the “switchboard” level is really hard and only a person in a certain position of relevance could take the decision to embark on a collaboration.

So I ask myself if there’s a way to get to talk to someone important who has the power to decide whether or not to initiate a development path, regardless of what are the business protocols of the case.

I hope that they do not take freely from the project, because it would be something really disturbing from a company that claims always to work for the common good, and has as motto “Do not be evil”, as well as all our data…

My phone is less than a year old and I will never get it (motorola x 2nd gen – Verizon). amazing and then everyone ponders why no one wants an android because of fragmentation. Fragmentation, is not the problem, the in-ability to upgrade a phone to the latest, without having to unlock – wipe – and use some 3rd party ROM is one of the largest issues I see. It really makes me look at certain manufactures and carriers and see only a few real phones available (that can be upgraded) and the other phones that will never be. I am technical and can probably do it, as I never have, but i don’t want to have to take the time to learn how and do it. I want to buy an expensive phone and have the ability to use whatever Google sends out as the latest firmware. But the fact they have so many phones, yet only 3 or 4 really get all the updates is sad and I feel the major issue with android. I have had ios phones and really have come to love the availability of android phones, but the fact that I bought a phone and its not getting Marshmallow is horrible. I may consider the above when choosing my next phone down the road, seriously, its sad.

30mph in built up areas is the law so we all should be driving slower through pedestrian-heavy areas, stopping and starting as required. However, with an autonomous car, it’s not yours, so you have the choice to either stay for the ride, or walk. More freedom, safer and less pollution. Win, win.

Comment on Talking Schmidt: Google to soon bring its driverless cars to the UK, humans don’t have eyes in the back of their head yet by pdixon1986 https://9to5google.com/2016/03/10/google-self-driving-car-uk/#comment-48895 Fri, 11 Mar 2016 07:16:58 +0000 http://9to5google.com/?p=135233#comment-48895 Given that humans are behind the wheel, and that humans are involved in the accidents, there are very few other causes for the accidents… so yes, 94% seems like a normal number for “human error”…
But i wonder… if a driverless car was going 40mph and a kid ran out into the road, would the car magically stop in time?…i would like to see a driverless car in a built up area with many kids and people — i think most people would end up getting out the car and walk because it would be quick — the car would be going so slow and stopping all the time.

I doubt that “Google is obviously a little bit envious of that” as their marketshare is, what, 4 times that of Apple, likely to remain that way.
2. I do think Schmidts use of an iPhone is noteworthy. I mean, who would’ve thought he had a sense of taste?
3. I’d like to know what it’s in the boxes. I mean, they’re cubical, and they’re white. Could be from Apple, right¿
