• $1.2M (CAD) in orders for its single-thread and phase-combined Ku-band solid state power amplifier systems from a customer in Asia. The customer will use the amplifiers to expand a large network based on existing Advantech amplifiers and systems.
• $1.3M (CAD) order from a large US government systems integrator for custom transceiver assemblies which will be used in Flyaway Terminals.

Responsabilités

Fonctions principales:

• Effectuer diverses analyses de conformité liées aux performances du produit (budgets RF, fonctions et protections M&C, alimentation).
• Concevoir des schémas de circuits pour les faisceaux de fils et les diagrammes d’interconnexion utilisés dans les produits RF/Micro-ondes.
• Analyser la fonctionnalité des assemblages électriques et mécaniques.
• Suivre la réalisation et la validation des produits en effectuant ou en coordonnant diverses mesures électriques.

Une fois familiarisé avec la structure des produits Advantech, l’ingénieur système intermédiaire commencera à s’occuper des tâches d’ingénierie de projet afin de coordonner la réalisation complète du produit :

• Analyse des exigences du système et évaluation de la conformité,
• Conception de diagrammes de système de haut niveau et de la documentation associée,
• L’architecture du système et les performances sont transmises à d’autres groupes de conception,

Après la phase de conception, le concepteur qualifie les prototypes et évalue leur performance par rapport à des objectifs techniques prédéterminés. Une fois que la conception a été testée avec succès, le concepteur de système se met en rapport avec les employés chargés de la fabrication pour lancer le produit final.

Under the supervision of the Systems Engineering Manager, the candidate will become familiar with current products and projects in order to support their evolution.  The System Designer will work closely with RF and other design disciplines to incorporate new functions to existing and to new products.

Responsibilities

Core functions:

• Perform various compliance analysis related with the performance of the product (RF budgets, M&C functions and protections, Power Supply)
• Design circuit schematics for wire harnesses and interconnection diagrams used in RF/Microwave products.

• Follow up product realization and validation by performing or coordinating various electrical measurements.

Once familiar with Advantech product structure, the intermediate system engineer will begin project engineering duties to coordinate full product realization:

• As needed by product lines evolution, establish and maintain Product Part numbering configuration rules;
• Participate in departmental audits and maintenance of the organizations Quality Management System Documentation.

Education and experience

• CEGEP Diploma (DEC) or equivalent;
• 5 years’ experience in configuration document management or equivalent;
• Bilingual, French and English, spoken and written. Strong communication skills (verbal and written);
• Familiarity with configuration management standards & procedures;
• Solid knowledge of Industries configuration management policies and procedures;
• Good experience using one of industry’s PLM and MRP databases;
• MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Acrobat, Visio, AutoCAD;
• High-level understanding of organizational processes in engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, procurement, supply chain management.

With so much enthusiasm generated by the promise of LEO, we released our new line of STAN Frequency Converters (Satellite Tracking and Navigation), designed specifically for applications that require two-channel coherent signal processing, such as telemetry, tracking and control (TT&C) and Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Tracking & Navigation. STAN’s ability to provide correction offsets for LEO satellites makes them particularly suitable for navigation and location services.

AWT commenced production of our new Summit II high power, soft-fail SSPA systems for deployment in early 2021. Built on a new, state-of-the-art control platform, Summit II can reach extremely high levels of RF output power, while providing a level of system availability that rivals anything in the industry. With microwave passive components being a major staple of the AWT product portfolio, high-density, low-loss RF combining structures are the basis for our new line of Ka-band SSPAs.

For companies that would rather put distance between their carriers and the 5G traffic, we have a complete line of  INSAT products that will take you up to the 7 GHz end of the band. AWT’s ever-popular S-band amplifier has been expanded to include L/S-band, with single boxes delivering power levels up to 700W — or integrated into phase combined systems that can deliver thousands of watts of redundant power. Our newly released Spirit-X BUCs produce 25W and 50W from a small compact package.

The Summit II High-Power, Modular, Soft-Fail Redundant SSPA systems from Advantech Wireless Technologies are high power, wide bandwidth, all outdoor ruggedized systems that allow operation with multiple carriers and outstanding linearity.
The new modular Summit II system is comprised of 4, 8 or 16 amplifiers that are phase combined into a single amplifier that can generate extremely high levels of RF output power – up to 10,000 watts or more. Summit II is available in C, X, Ku and S-band architectures.
